See that right there, I’ve always found that to be a bit contentious with mixed raced kids that fall under the “white passing” or “racial ambiguous” moniker. The constant “flip flopping” between groups as a way to “adapt” is really just another form of camouflage for certain groups of people that have that “benefit”. As a mixed race kid myself, I look very much like my mother (who is black) than my father (who is Latino with more euro centric features). And while I identify both sides, I am fully aware what society sees me as even if I don’t want them too (and it ain’t white that’s for damn sure). Flip flopping shouldn’t be seen as “cool” or “different” but just a another tool that a self aware person (with a conscious understanding an environment that is not always welcoming) can wield at their convenience. One should let it be known to any and everyone what they are fully not what they’d like that group to see them as. It makes people that do that come off more willfully deceptive than actually genuine.
