Bro, tipping culture is getting out of hand. I was at a snack shack once and the machine asked if I wanted to tip the worker. All I got was a $3 gatorade and all the worker had to do was pull it out of the fridge.
Literally one time some nice lady at Domino's (where I work), she said "oh it didn't give me a tip option." She felt bad that we couldn't get tipped and gave us the rest of her gift card! But there was only like $7 left on it but still. Domino's pays well for starting, we don't require it. You're right it is getting out of hand!
The crazy thing is that from an Australian perspective where people get paid and don’t rely on tips for a living and tipping culture is like zero I am continually surprised at all these stories

I ended up tipping her $10 dollars. As I was leaving, she ended up chasing up to me and was tearing up, repeatedly thanking me for being so generous. Also doesn't help that doordash doesn't pay for vehicle expenses and has all kinds of shady features on the app for delivery drivers to make the experience hell

In Asia, there is nothing called "tip". Very rare people tip. Especially countried in southeast asia.
