Chris, that's a hunt you will never forget and something you will share with others the rest of your life. On October 23rd of 2020 I was hunting an apple orchard in the mountains of NC. There was one tree in particular, called a Wolf River, that all the deer seemed to really like. On a cool and cloudy afternoon, I shot 3 does and a 370lb black bear with my Mathews Triax in less than 30 minutes. I was giving thanks to the Lord for letting me harvest the first doe when I looked up and there was #2. Again, I was giving thanks and there is #3. After shooting the third one, I was texting the wife, when I heard something coming. It was breaking limbs and making all kinds of noise. I thought at first it was a person, then thought it was a lost cow (large cattle farm next door). Then I realized, it was a nice bear. I waited for the shot, and put a Bloodsport Evidence arrow with a Sevr 1.5 through him. He ran 75 yards or so and piled up. I was absolutely speechless with what had just went on. The funny part was, you should have seen the look on my friends faces when they showed up to help "drag". It took us 2.5 hours to get everything recovered, gutted, and loaded up. It's the best hunting memory I have to date. Great video and thanks for sharing! God bless.
Wow man that’s absolutely insane! I’m new to bow hunting (hunting in general never killed an animal), so although I would like to get a nice buck, I’m not exactly sure what I’d be doing after that moment
I did four sits last weekend, closer of archery season in Oklahoma. I wanted to make myself sick of hunting. Here I am, five days later, back on hunting videos.
Thanks for meeting up with me there chris ! Was a fun hunt see you again this year on the home farm in Iowa ! 300 acres no one but myself on this year ! Kyle
Nice hunt Chris! You sized up the property quick and executed 5 beautiful shots within a decent yardage range. Those deer never knew what hit them. Pretty evident they have an over population of deer on that place. I bet when you have more time and intel, you will locate a giant in that herd. Nice job!
Chris you have no idea how happy I am to see you hunt my home state and shoot a great buck I shot 5 as well this year 3 were for management sadly I didn't shoot a buck due to neighbors working on their land but still a great season. Congrats on the deer and I can't wait to see more.
I had them most beginners luck this season first year actually using my compound all year constantly and I took 9 deer here in Ga 2 bucks 7 does thanks Chris for always being such an inspiration to your younger fans
Just getting into this. From my small amount of research the state I’m in(Missouri) allows like 2-3 tags I don’t even remember exactly right now. How is it y’all are bagging so many?
Whackin and stackin ole son! Great video man! To all those in the comments hating on him throwing out corn, here's a fast fact for you. Hunting over bait is no different than hunting over a food plot, ag field, or acorns. Now you know.
Great video!!! Good job Chris! I have yet to harvest a deer with any kind of bow but lord willing this fall will be the time to say a first has been done! (Only 17 years old) God reigns and Thank Him and Him alone for all and the opportunities given. Congratulations!
That'd be a day for the books for sure. I would get so turned around following blood trails, that's where the video is nice, you can see where each one went. Nice shooting Chris!
Ha, cows love corn! That's what our friend (and property owner) in Kansas told us. We learned the hard way just like you! Dang, what a morning sit! 5 arrows and 5 deer in an hour! Wow! That's impressive!
I seen your first video about two week ago and I have watched about 90% of them all. Really do enjoy them all. Thanks man. Wish I could have made it to Indy to see u. 🦌
That was wild and some whitetail management, Jeff Sturgis would be proud. Most of us would love to see 5 deer 🦌 pass by their stand in a season let alone in an hour.
There’s no argument Corn makes it way easier. Cant wait for all the comments back saying it’s not to make themselves feel better about their lack of hunting skill. Chris is obviously skilled enough and has nothing to prove, good deer. Congrats.
Great hunt! Makes me think of the 2017hunt I had...I had just purchased brand new '17 Polaris 450HO, opening day .270 dropped 3 in 20 min ,(2 Doe's & a buck) they kept coming out so I kept knocking em off, definitely a fun hunt and good eating 🫡
You had a pretty good day 😉 i can shoot does like that and bunch of 2.5 yr olds but I have to wait on the big mature bucks. I don't usually get my 1st buck until rifle and the next one in late December or in January when the weather is colder. I'm in Oklahoma too. Nice hunt !
Great doe management 😁! Can’t believe all that movement you get away with. Seems like if I move an inch they see me! I may need some lessons on stand locations! Great video!
So in order to harvest more deer, I need to wear more hats! Finally, thank you for sharing the secret! Stack up the hats and stack up the deer. Thanks for another great video Chris
Got a chance to hunt a lease one year by a friend of my fathers. WE were told by the hunters there that they just weren't successful during there first couple weeks, which are reserved for just paying members. they liked to hunt the open food plots with high caliber rifles, where my father and i hunt the thick stuff with either bows or at most a 30-30.The morning of our hunt when we met up the other guys hunting the property they told us anything brown put it down. Well lets just say that we did just what Chris did, with the understanding anything goes. Between my father and I , we ended up taking 5 doe's and two of the areas biggest bucks, both of which are hanging in our gun room. Well when we met back up with the other hunters, needless to say that they weren't happy, saying that we couldn't come back, but my fathers friend reminded them what they had said not even 3 hours earlier. That was our first and last time hunting there!! Good job Chris, making clean ethical shots.
You should do a video on your favorite broadheads, I see you shoot the mega meats but I’ve seen you use fixed blades at times as well. I’d love to know your favorite fixed blades and mechanicals
Chris how do you hang your quiver when you’re hunting? If I’m not mistaken the new Mathews quivers don’t have a string to hang off a branch or bow holder. Do you just strap it to the tree?
You're going to need a larger quiver when you hunt that lease. Wish one of my buddies would invite me to join a lease like that one...I've never seen anyone shoot that many deer in one sit
Imagine you let a new guy in the club and he comes back with 5 deer stacked up on his first hunt 🤣🤣 Awesome hunt though for real. That buck was way nicer than I expected when you shot him.
As an Oklahoman I wish you wouldn't tell people where you were at 😂😉 I personally believe this state is one of the best kept secrets in the whitetail world.
Now that’s a good morning in the stand!! I can’t even find land to lease around me and you pick up another out of state lease, trade you problems....🤣😂🤣😂

how u go about just having 3 doe tags and a bear tag??
5 Deer, 5 Arrows, 5 Pass Thru's...Impressive Chris and looks like so much fun!! Nice shooting man
I’m new to archery and bought my first bow, waiting for it to arrive. I find your UA-cam videos very helpful and inspiring. Thank you
You can do it! I got my first bow (as an adult) about a year ago. I took four deer with it last fall (and gave a haircut to two others). You got this!
Practice all summer long brother. Archery is easier than it seems, but it’s certainly no cakewalk. Put in the time and you’ll do great
These videos help me cope with hunting season being over, thanks Chris😂🤙🏽

Oklahoma is RICH with deer man. We can’t get enough hunters here! That’s why I finally picked up a bow a couple months ago.

@@tylerbecker8398 if you hunt on your own land you don't have to tag them you just claim them as killed on your property.
@@tylerbecker8398 and it's different in all states some states are overrun with deer so they give you more tags to control the population.
Middle Tennessee is overrun with deer. Unit L has over three months where a hunter can legally harvest up to 3 antlerless deer per day.

I killed 5 in 12 hours with a bow in 1980 from the same stand. Never thought I would see that happen in 20 minutes. Well done!
Chris is a BEAST!!! Thx for the video bro!!!
I can watch a whole hour of content no video is “too” long
Hey, Chris. Are you using the UV3XL or just the UV3 sight? Thanks in advance.
That’s the XL with the multi pin cartridge.
Chris, when will you be posting competitions and practicing and your bow and equipment builds again?
Nice! Way to stack 'em up. Overpopulated... Part of it, them deer looked thin. Spoiled up here in Southern Wisconsin tbh
