Great video, Dillon! I use Gamakatsu #4 circles for that rig too, however I just pass the doubled line through the hook eye and give it a Palomar. Never moves after that.
Nice. I was fishing the beaches this summer and had all three species, northern, southern and gulf. Actually yesterday (8.24) it was all gulfs. Pretty cool for Jersey. Only problem is all the spot that I was culling through.
damn bro, shorten the distance between your rods. No need in getting a workout running from rod to rod. You had a nice day of fishing though. They are my favorite fish to eat. We get them really big here in NC in the fall months. They love sand flea's right at the surf. Thanks for the video.
Dillon L. Fishing thanks. One last thing, how heavy of a bucktail to you fish for fluke from the jetty? I always go for them from a kayak and was wondering if you use heavy weights or use different techniques from the shore.
This is just for me and my experience but try not to use that big bulky 40 pound mono for king fish, I usually use anywhere from 15 to 20 pound on my bigger rods and on my smaller 8 foot rod I usually use anywhere from 10-15 pound leader

I switched to VMC now, after about a month the barbs on my gamakatsus wore off.
Glad you enjoyed the video

Thanks man, they’re awesome!
shoutout to me for the rod holders
Lol yeah
What type of fish bites are you using? Does it matter if it is the bloodworm type Or the white type?
Normally just use the bloodworm alternative, but have had success on a variety of other types
Thank you! Love your videos man
Is there a size restriction on these type of fish in NJ?
Nope
nice job 👌👍🏻
Where do you get the “fish bites”? I’ve seen you use them in many of your videos, and I’m just wondering and would like to try them as bait.
Any local bait and tackle shop should have them.
Sounds good, I hit up Rip Tides from time to time. I’ll check them out.
You can also get them online via Amazon or Walmart.
WHERE IS THAT PLACE THAT YOU GO ON FISHING?
How far out do the kingfish normally sit around?
In the trough right infront of you or at lowtide sometimes beyond the sandbar
Dillon L. Fishing alright thanks. I just tied my own kingfish rigs so what size lead should I use?
3 oz pyramids

I’d say go with 3/8 to 3/4. Normally I just use a chicken rig with a 2 oz bank sinker on the bottom.
nice fishing video, can you tell me where is this place please ,
You carry all your gear by train?
Haha when I couldn’t drive yeah

I don’t remember exactly what I used in this vid but I try to fish 20lb mono leader and between 15-40lb braid main line
Finally I'm first!
Lol at 1:30 am
