I remember the first piece of art I heard from Ernestine Johnson. The poem was titled "The average black girl", that poem left me feeling empowered and blessed not because I speak quote on quote proper, but because I am a descendent of a people, that are overcomers, survivers and that are resilient, no matter how oppression has tried to leave us hopeless. We are a people that will evolve to greatness in whatever form God has planned. Ernestine Johnson I thank you for, the amazing art you produce. Keep shining a light on our history, and continue paving a way for a positive change to come. God Bless.
Black women need to stop begging black men to provide, protect and produce (the 3 Ps). This is something they should want to do naturally. Any men that don't want to do the 3 Ps are not worth your time.
Don't listen to those who comment on clothes or tone keep speaking truth but leave time for you to let go of all the hurt that ya put in poems. We struggling too but our yells get us shot or put in jail. Yah will make all well. Peace
