@TheHumanBeanCM57 Yeah it absolutely doesn't look like ballet attire. But it reminds me of, it definitely does. The silhouette and the colour are there, therefore my previous statement is correct, and 1600 souls agree with it. Have a nice day wherever you are.🩷
@@doyoulikethis5670 As a former professional classical ballet dancer I agree with you. It certainly isn’t something we would wear to dance in. However, that colour is ballet pink along with the pleating, that is very reminiscent of corseting. The silhouette of the dress sort of reminds me of level one leotards with a simple ballet skirt in the RAD tradition. I can totally see why you would say that! Although most dancers have an eversion to that colour of pink, mostly because we wanted to be seen as little kids.
Being able to make your own clothing is such a dream!! I can't sew to save my life but I'm so freaking short that I wish I could cause nothing ever fits me correctly and alterations can get pricey. This dress is beautiful and your work is so lovely!! As someone who is super clumsy and hamfisted, I always admire people who work as gracefully, carefully and precisely as you do. Gimme some of that talent 😂😂😂
Nobody can sew before they learn how to😊 it’s only a matter of liking it or not. I agree that developing a skill is not always very easy and takes time and patience but it’s totally doable if you love it. Actually it’s the passion for a certain art that will make you keep at it and not give up. Everybody, absolutely everybody starts with not being able to sew in a straight line 😂 but from there, with passion and perseverence you get to this point, of creating amazing garments 😊 it’s not a matter of talent so much as it is a matter of loving this craft and being motivated to learn it. I am telling you from experience.
@luciatat4084 you have explained it beautifully. I'm a witness of that statement. I started making cushions for my mom and they were not pretty 😂😂 8 years now that I'm able to make my own clothes and my kids and it's something that keeps me going back for more 😊😊 it's my drug ❤
Don't give up! No one is born as a master of their craft. I'm a bloody beginner myself, it just takes some time and patience to figure things out. I only do simple stuff with patterns or small alterations on clothing that I already have, and it doesn't always turn out great, which I think is charming though, because it shows that its selfmade with effort, passion and love, with or without crooked sewing lines. So don't worry if its not perfect😊
Love the way they introduce the next books characters at the end of each book. Thank you for this audio book onto the 3rd one. So excited for Jules ahhhh😂🎉
I feel like this could look super cool if you used a different fabric for each panel so you’d get a striped kind of effect and it would be a great chance to use up leftover fabric that you wouldn’t have enough of for a whole dress
Did you make the pattern or buy it? Also, what fabric did you use? I would love to know! I might want to make this in blue. It looks beautifully made! ✨️🫶🏻✨️
should make the torso with a bit more length as well as the skirt's half of the gown, as well, so that it can sit on your frame well. Just a 1/2 in to an 1 inches worth I believe. Lifting the side in a bit to get the swoop.
Modern and elegant reminds me of ballet attire. So beautiful. I desire to make one for myself in that style. 🩷
ballet attire looks nothing like this lol 😂

So dainty! And I love how it’s - dress where it looks simple at first, but when you look closer you see the beautiful panels!
Prettier than any dress you could buy in a store! Really really well-made!
Depends on the store.

Absolutely beautiful, I frequently notice how people who work with her hands, always seem to have the most beautiful hands. You did an amazing job.!
You need to visit more factories😅
I meant people who create art with their hands.
What a beautiful short video! The music, the editing, and of course, the finished dress. I think the entire product is a class act. ❤
