So these are the Sony WH-CH520’s, they came out along side the Sony WH-CH720N, and after checking out the WH-CH720N’s I decided that I needed to checkout the WH-CH520’s, just cause I saw so many improvements on the WH-CH720N’s. And to be honest, I was not disappointed, cause just like the WH-CH720N’s, the WH-CH520’s have also gotten some important improvements from its predecessors.

These are perfect for me. Only thing about about 510s was the lack of padding on the head strap, now these come in with an even slicker look. I'm like, SOLD. These tend to be great in rain as well and so cheap to replace anyway.
are they comfortable on ear for more than 4hrs?
@@prasanthP-fk6zr Oh yeah, I have them on practically all day tbh, and have worn them out in the pissing rain and no damage whatsoever.
@@spenser9908 i am talking about comfort bro , is there ear pain after long sessions . i am planning to buy one . i may use it for more than 3 hrs. .. like watching series movie games etc. . i read this gives pain after half hour .
@@prasanthP-fk6zr Re-read the first 11 words of my response, mate.
How's the earcups quality? I'm thinking of purchasing in beige but can't find spare earcups just in case..
Ordered one for EUR38,89 on sale, Cant wait to try it!
Im a huge Sony Headphones fan, Ive been using their Sony WF-XB700 for almiost 2 years and it didn't disappoint me once for the price. The passion started in 2019 when i bought their wired headphones, Sony headphones are always perfectly priced and their options are designed for specific needs.
EDIT: I've been using them for about 2 months and i use them daily for about 6-7 Hours.
Full charge battery lasts me about 5 to 7 days, so these headphones will easily serve anyone for a whole week without charging.
Sound quality is great and pretty decent bass aswell.
Very durable, i dropped it on solid concrete multiple times from my head (i am 6'4) and only a slight mark was left, so it's not cheap material either and they're incredibly light and easy to carry too!
Definitely 10/10, must buy.
As the headphones are on-ear, do they cause discomfort or pinch against the earlobes after an hour or so of constant listening to something?
@@doctorsora yeah same question. I have JBL 520BT for like 2 days and they hurt my ears so much and that is not after few hours they hurt after like 30 minutes of wearing them. So would like to know if they are more comfortable to wear. I have no problem if they hurt after wearing them for 3-4 hours.
The whu-chu 520s😂
lmfao, its wh - wireless headset, wf - wireless free but whuchu is hilarious
@@makes101senseohhh that makes sense now 😂
Sony always be My Personal Choice!!! 👌🏻😎👍🏻
Thanks for your video man, helping my girlfriend pick out a pair of new headphones and these are going to be great for her!
Thanks for adding Coffee Shop test!
Mate I'm a Base head coming from my fave soundcore q30. I bought sony 520s as I broke the frame on the Q30s. And the Base on the 520's is surprisingly pleasing on these. Especially with app on equaliser setting "exciting" or "Bright".
I am torn between these two, which one would you recommend based on comfort and sound quality?
Loved the review!
Do you consider them as best budget based on the sound quality, or you would recommend something else in that price( vocal synth lover)
and lows
Thanks. Great reviews.
Hey, thanks for the video, could you please confirm the headphone range? as I want to use with the TV and I have a big living room. Thanks.
5:44 bro’s snapback is about to snap 😂
i know these are two different classes of headphones and my main use is to lock in at the gym. between the wh-ch520 and beats studio pro, what will be the differences? i’m wondering if the wh-ch520 will be more than good enough especially at that price point
excellent review 👏
Thanks. Hoped you liked it.
Hi I need a 🎧 with noice cancellation but I'm so sensitive about cabin pressure... what s your advice ?
Are these good for bench press?
AMAZING review!! this was exactly what i was looking for! i do have a question though, do either the 520 or 720N have any sound leak? i don’t constantly blast my music at full volume but at times i feel like when i do turn my music up a bit that it can be bothersome to others, especially as a college student in a dorm and libraries a lot.
Idk if im too late but there is some sound leakage on the 520 but not much and not an issue at all at 50-60% volumebut its quite negligible on the 720 and overall less leakage compared to the 520
How about Master and Dynamic? Their headphones are in the high end wireless category? Review ma please. They have the recently released 2nd Gen MH40 and of course the MW75s
Very detailed and good review... But i got some questions about noise leaks and if its a durable build?... cuz i dont want them to break.
I tested the noise leakage and its practically non existent , i recorded the audio right next to the headphones and couldn't hear anything at around 5cm when its on the head .
is ch520 durable ?? or it will break from one side@@proffesionalinspector1131
How is it for watching UA-cam or what ever on my phone?
Is active noise cancelling a big issue?
Are these good in noisy London Tube?
How's the microphone when you are having a conversation on the phone
Can they hear you clearly?
Can you replace the earpads on these? And would WH-CH10 earpads fit on them?
Yes
How about compared to the Sennheiser HD250BT? I love the sound of them!
How’s the latency while watching movies on a smart tv
I am seriously hoping that Sony as well as other manufacturers realize we don’t all have huge heads. I have returned the Sony xm5’s, and the xm4’s, not because they sound terrible…..they were awesome. But if I lie down or try to do housework, they slide. The xm5 was the worst of the two. The 720’s fit a little better, but after a week whatever is under the foam started poking my ears once the ear pads broke in. I am ready to ante up the bucks for a great pair, but I’m not going to risk them falling to the floor. So frustrating. Right now I am using the Sennheiser 450bt, not because it is my favorite best sound, but I can move or lay down and they stay. If anyone has any suggestions for premium headphones that have clamping force, I would love to hear them because I’m not keeping the Sennheiser.
I never seen headphones poking people's ears you dumb person make sure you replace those earpads because you feel like they're poking your ears you so dumb don't replace it with your friend instead you better go buy Sennheiser headphones instead I also don't know why you say that terible it's not actually poking your ears it's just that its very itchy are your ears sensitive to the Sony headphones whattttt do you know gymcaddy never said that is poking his ears it's more comfortable than I expected for him to say
Yeh i had the same problem with the sony xm4… i had to sell them cause they too big but the sound was the best ive had in headphones
If you want a strong built that doesn't slide and that has hq sound i would recommend jabra 85h elite overear headphones, they're sweat proof and were my best working out headphones however they have a tendency to short circuit so definitely dont lose your warranty like i did
Sony users have bigger brains.
does the buttons have like a 1 or 2 second latency? is this normal?
Haven’t tried these but the 510 are the most underrated headphones I’ve ever had. Tremendous bang for your buck
Ain't no way this thing is comfortable to wear. The cup is way to small.
They’re comfortable for on ears
@@GYMCADDY I've used small cup like this and it hurt my ears so bad. It's the worst type of headphones.
@@chainjail4834 it depends on your ear size...
These do NOT connect to two devices at the same time. I am atm watching this video on my laptop, I just turned on Bluetooth on my iPhone and the moment the 520s connected they disconnected from my laptop (audio went back to laptop).
Before these I had the 510, that one DID connect to two devices at the same time!
I'm so confused I own xb910n 450 bt and 20 pound headphones called groove e. Why do the cheaper headphones sound more open and get louder they do sound cheaper but they definetly sound more fun then the other. I want headphones with the largest soundstage so I need to spend 20 pounds I'm so confused why don't the senhisers have a wider soundstage.
I think you have headphone problems ocracy sound
Can they match the Sennheiser HD250BT sound?
Bought the blue one exactly a week ago, and I love it. I’m just looking for the perfect case for it. I’m in Ghana, so any suggestions would be much appreciated.
How’s the headphones?
@@chocolatewheelchair I still love it. The battery is good. Sound is good even with calls. I’m impressed. It’s a good buy.
How do you enable the mic for the 520
Thank you very much for the review, do you know when it will be available for Latin America?
No idea
Are they loud?
So for gym are ok?
They support Dolby Atmos?
okay but close grip v bar pulldowns or underhand lat pulldowns?

Do you have an idea about the diameter of the earpads/earcups?
70mm
Everything except what I needed to know.
I bought these yesterday, my first time trying on-ear headphones. Although the quality and tech specs are great considering the price, I personally felt that they just are not comfortable enough. I can handle wearing them for around half an hour, then afterwards they just feel too uncomfortable to keep on. I wear glasses 24/7 so that is also a big factor for me, but I even tried using them without my glasses on and they still felt a bit uncomfortable. I don't even have a big head! Not sure why I haven't had the same experience as other people who own these but I'm very upset.
Until they are destroyed
Easy, cause they are all sponsored
Any new device that comes in contact with the body requires a break-in period with your body. Whether it's new shoes, headphones, a new motorcycle, a new chair, whatever it is, as your body adapts to the device, it will become less uncomfortable. My new bluetooth headset was causing a headache when I put them on the first few weeks. Absolutely hated them, but now, I've been wearing them for 5 years now. I had a gap for about 2 months where I left my headphones at my grandparents house and never wore them during the time being. Then when I wore them again the headache came back. So this is proof that your body adapts to all sorts of wearables as long as you are not like trying to fit a size 8 shoe to a 10 or something.
@@conceptcsyes he is right, my banana is not used to the girl i put it in, but still it feels so comfortable 😊
@@kaizakiarata9313 lmao
Gymcaddy serious question why do cheaper headphones have a wider sondstage then more expensive ones I just test random 20 pound ones like groove headphones and they sound better than 450 bt not literally but you can hear more and it's more exciting can u explain pls
You better get your ears checked cuz I think you have hearing problems

Which headphones are best sony wh ch710n or sony wh ch520?
Are they comfortable for running?
Any updates?
They’re light, but can get sweaty
Do they fall off when you use them at the gym??
Literally can’t do benches or anything with them on or they’ll slip off. So goddamn annoying
Can it connect with iphone bluetooth ver. 5.0?
Obviously, why do people ask such stupid questions
I wanted these so bad... but the lack of an audio jack kills it for me.
Sometimes I can only use 1/8"
Damn
You mightve been better off just referring to them by their model number instead of the "wah-cha" which sounded really weird to me as I watched the video. Otherwise good video and thumbs up
Watchaa got?
I bought it, but it is now lying in my cupboard because it is not comfortable at all, even after just 30 minutes of use. It hurts my ears despite being lightweight. Thankfully, I have bought Huawei FreeBuds 5, and they are super comfortable.
If anyone is asking about comfort, my answer is that it is not comfortable at all, as it hurts my ears after 30 minutes of use. I have used it recently for a week. Avoid on-ear headphones if you are looking for comfort.
Is it okay for small head?
@@Nobodyknowme36 I think yes
The wha chu 520s are not the craziest headphones for 40 bucks is a fuckin steal they’re amazing headphones for the gyms and over ear and on ear isn’t nothing when u preacher curling 80lbs your arms are the only thing uncomfortable

Do not buy these. the sound of the 510 version is so much better. This updated version sounds too bright and thin.
I almost returned mine when I first tried them I almost returned them because they sounded very tinny but they need a 40 hour burn in period and when you use the equalizer you will notice a big difference.
