Meh, this one was one of the less interesting viral clips for me- He clearly uses shirts that are intended to be ripped easily. In the video he accidentally is grabbing the tank top hidden underneath it that's not designed to be rippable. That's why he repositions his hands and his lower shirt's all fucked up when he finally rips the first. So it's more of him flubbing a wrestling prop than "so weak he can't tear a shirt".

Our British version is ,by far, a much more acerbic version. This is due to our national treasures, Ian Hislop and Paul Merton. They will have a politician on that is pretty much going to be torn apart by these two Titans of wit and sarcasm , Ian's favourite weapon. One occasion a politician backed-out at the last moment (chicken!) so they put a block of lard in front of his seat, instead.
The guests gotta bring the ridiculousness to make this show work. And this was a great combination of people. I guess a US one can’t make fun of it’s segments quite the way the UK does (oh look a 1980s wheel of news), but the reason the show does well in the UK is it’s an excuse for a lot of fun dumb comedy with a veneer of respectability… Love that Roy was cracking up.
Scaramucci sort of answered it by not answering. He wouldn't have spun it, he would have changed topics to something else. Which is what he did to Michael's question. Not surprising I guess.

I’m really happy to see this show doing well in the US. I’ve grown up here in the U.K. with this show always being there to simultaneously rationalise, satirise and expose the bullshit. It’s genuinely had a huge impact on me and I think on our public consciousness. Roy Wood Jr is also fantastic (he just hosted an episode here post-election and did a fantastic job). 🙂
The Julia Roberts add is highlighting a real problem. Here in Alamance County North Carolina, couples are being put into voting booths together. The poling person set up my ballot first saying "ladies first" so my husband was able to watch me vote. Thankfully we're voting the same, but can you imagine if we weren't?

Most of them will vote by mail, which can be done very safely. Unlike in the US. American voting regulations are way sub-par. It is insane.
I hated Anthony Scaramucci from the moment I knew of him, because his introduction came from Trump... but I can't think of one thing since then I've seen him in where he spun anything or lied... he always has something insightful to say and a touch of charisma and humility... and here he owns his brief moment with Trump and cemented my respect for the guy. Everyone can and will be wrong a lot... multiple if not hundreds of times a day... you thought it was 8pm but it was only 7:30pm... happens all the time... it takes character to admit when it happens to you.
I'm so fucking sad and tired. Thank you Roy, Amber and Michael, for making me laugh a little bit. I feel like crying. Forever. So many terrible people in the world. So, so many.
