I built attack then cheated on Thonar with R defense lol, does R gear work on Ban? I was thinking of triple defense 🤔 I'm slowly building Ban since the traditional team has seen me obliterated twice so far
R gear should do just fine. I havn't tried triple def so can't say how well it will work. Would the lowered hp pool cause the boss to focus Ban with single-target cards? Could potentially investigate once I make some triple def sets for Naofumi & Raphtalia. Yeah, that's a good idea tbh. I find the team to be just a little bit more consistent than the traditional team. A lot less can go completely wrong, and you have some more wiggle room when making misplays with the patience team compared to the "best" team - even though it's still majorly rng-dependent.
@@LinxanGC hey ye triple deff will lower the hp pool, but i still recomend it since with his full pasive in some stages dogs dont even do damage even without king shild, and when he focuses on ban since he so tanky the shield wont even break, but if an hp gear works for you thats good enough. @@mihakolesa6688 Yeah, I did actually give him triple defense with resistance rolls on the middle pieces for last weeks run. Worked great! He was even able to withstand two rank 1 swipes the first turn on floor 2 & 3. So definitely worth it!
Yes, Thonar's holy relic wasn't in the game when this video was made, so it's most definitely doable. Though, if you can only beat floor 1 and 2, try to farm them for a while unti lyou get enough mats to craft Thonar's holy relic - it is so broken and basically enables you to beat the wolves with almost any team!

Thonar with crit resistance and deff sub stat gear is enough, skoll and hati never crit to she
my King always fking dies on floor 2 first phase

Whenever i try to do dogs, i always fail at phase 3 because i can't kill them both in one turn. Help pls :(
I rarely kill them in 1 hit and I go an additional 1 to 2 turns and still win.

Question why R gear?
So I could reroll max crit resistance% rolls for gold instead of anvils and hammers. Much cheaper that way :)
