Wonderful way to use nothing biodegradable to make that & then share to a million people adding so much needless plastic waste & litter to the environment.
Tissue paper is a better choice, cut up strips of cardboard glued into the edges with a non-toxic biodegradable glue stick even thin wire to hold a piece of cloth is better then plastic straws.
Please research other videos folks, there are many more responsible methods then this one.

You did not explain materials for fire mechanism. Also, please do not use plastic because sea turtles ingest them and die a painful death unless they are lucky enough to get rescued and treated by a turtle rescue group at a turtle hospital like the one in Marathon, FL, U.S.A.

They look really pretty, but the problem comes when they land on a building or on a field of crops and they burn them to the ground, ruining somebody's livelihood & hurting any people &/or animals in the vicinity. Even if the fire goes out before burning anything down, the wire ends up in silage for feeding horses & cattle, causing huge vet bills at best, and a painful death at worst.
Alternative models use plastic in place of the metal wire - the problems caused by plastic littering are well documented. Particularly (but not exclusively) for aquatic life.
Please, don't do this.

fearless joy .. you are correct. but plastic can stabilize the heat liberated from candle. The lattern will not fly for 1 day or more. I checked and then only i placed 4 candles. . sorry if any wrong. and thanks for watching...

This is NON-Biogradable. You need to make them with light sticks and paper instead -- rather than sending trash out into surrounding forests and streams.

I'm not a "tree hugger", but isn't it irresponsible to make those? The paper ones will at least degrade, or is it your suggestion that we follow the lantern and retrieve it? If we just let it go, you are basically sending trash for someone else to pick up, or to end up as some random trash in the woods. Not cool :-(
