Storm the fort , New Brighton , hosted by Cloud 9 scooter club Birkenhead 15/08/2021 .

Let me just say before i start what a wonderful scooter that is in the thumbnail , not that im biased or anything but it is one of mine lol 👌😍 . what a great day yesterday visiting Cloud 9 Scooter Clubs Storm the fort event , 120 mile round trip but well worth it , we could of gone through the Birkenhead tunnel but we decided to take the scenic route round , got a bit damp at times and a sore arse when i got home but it was worth it , another huge turnout all the familiar faces and a few new ones i didnt recognise , merch stalls , food stalls , trophy presentation , had the obligitory fish and chips and bought a patch , well done to everybody involved especially Cloud 9 it was a very enjoyable day . 👏👌🛵🍻🌧🍔🍟

I remember many years ago as a young biker bumping into some of the old cloud 9 scooter crowd at the commodore pub in birkenhead in the 80s!...am sure the club used to have they're meetings upstairs?!

Birkenhead Cloud 9 is still going strong Peter , I’ve got some good friends at Cloud 9 and we’re all made very welcome every time we visit , their open day is called Storm the Fort and is usually in August, it’s always busy and we’ll worth going . I'm 53 and used to ride Vespas in my late teens-early twenties, even went on lots of rallies up and down the country. After watching the video and seeing a mainly 'older' lot riding their scooters, it makes me realise that I'm glad to have grown up and moved on as now, I would never feel right being part of what I considered 'the in crowd'!

100%. I was in the London '79 revival and was part of a Mod scooter club from 79 - 84. The scene today has no similarities.
