Comment down below if your company stores data online and uses SQL to pull data. Oh, and don't forget to give this video a thumbs up and share, to spread some digital literacy :) Thanks for listening in!
This is probably the first time in my life that anything has made so much sense when learning something technical like this 😅 I wish there was something like this for... everything! Thanks so much for breaking it down in a way that makes it so easy to understand.
I was about to say how it feels like a friendly/lively and loved teacher is teaching me in kindergarten. What the hell, its so explanatory. Even with legos to get me more interested.
I started learning SQL basics and still I didn't had a clear idea of what basically SQL is until I found this video. Excellent job creating this video. Thanks.
The essence of a good teacher is not just to promote well performers but to take care of those not so privileged. Thank you Daniel for choosing this simple yet most useful topic for programmers.

Wooow. Thanks so much for putting this in layman's terms. I went through hours of video with no clear explanation of SQL. You put it very plainly thank you
As a visual and auditory learner - this was perfect. I’m studying for the Microsoft Data Analyst Certification and this has been super helpful in breaking down concepts!
Did you complete the task of becoming a Data Analyst & if so was it through schooling or self taught? I really wanna learn but don't want to go back to school😒😒
My company uses SQL and I'm learning this while also refreshing on python. I love the Lego references which helps digest this new information for me in a fun way. Keep it up!
I am currently taking a Google Data Analytics certification and I wanted more insight on what SQL is and how it is used. This video helped out so much! Thank you.
I love that you used LEGO for this! It makes a newcomer like me wondering what the heck SQL means, much more comfortable in trying to understand this, and feeling like I can try to actually go deeper in the topic. I'll sure remember Sally. Thank you!
This is super helpful! I have an interview on Monday for a research job involving coding & I know C++ and Java from undergrad, but haven’t coded in a professional setting and they use SQL often in this job. I want to go into the interview with a basic understanding of the languages and programs they use and THIS HELPED A TON! Thank you
after skipping online SQL lectures came to youtube to cover the lesson . OMG after tons of videos this is my favorite. Lego ideas is really unforgettable .tnq for this......
You are a Jewel . This hands down is the best coding explanation i have eve seen on UA-cam! just what the code doctor ordered.. very balanced approach in depth explanations through example code and real life situations and to the point liked and subbed! We need more ! thanks!
The Lego analysis was genius. As sbd who've never worked with SQL before this breaks down to me what it is. And I've got it clearly. Thanks ma'am. Blessings
Yes, exactly! SQL allows you to request specific data from a relational database that organizes information in tables and columns. For example, in digital philology, you can use SQL to query a table containing a corpus of textual data for analysis.
Great breakdown! There is so little content out there for true beginners. All the "beginner" coding content out there assumes you already know how to code and you're just "beginning" a new language. Very comforting to hear the SQL is the first and perhaps only language I need to learn. I actually somewhat understand it unlike every other programming language 😅
This was extremely helpful and the analogies made it much easier to absorb the info. Working in sales I would never imagine myself having to know this but here we are thank you so much.
This is an amazing video! Your style of teaching is so great, you're able to catch the attention of learners and get us into the topic being discussed. Perfect explanation of SQL. Thank you!
Wow! This short presentation just blew me away! I have a very short attention span, which, usually, makes it difficult for me to satisfy my thirst for knowledge. Your style of combined, synchronised VISUAL + VERBAL data delivery is just BRILLIANT! Thank you!

thanks so much! I agree. I am the same way with attention span coupled with a thirst for knowledge which is why I set out to make the videos this way.
WOW. Only UA-camr I have found that have creative content to translate the complexity of software into simple and digestible bites that beginners can understand! Instead of using engineers' language but using common language to explain it. Thank you! I can tell you put a lot of time and effort into this vid and reflects high quality of the vid!
one of the simplest explanations into something which people like to complicate. Im not in IT but needed to know some of the info from this video and she explained it perfectly. thank you
LOVED the use of Lego in video. I work with youth and use Lego to teach elementary and high school. The simplicity is brilliant and now feel I have better understanding of SQL.
ive been wtching videos fpr days now to understand the real life working fo database, sql...and finnaaaaaaaaaaaly this video gives me a clarity. my last 2 brain cells thank you a bunch
You are a true G lol. I bumped into your video while searching 'learn SQL' and I can't even wait to finish the video before subscribing (it was that good!). Thanks for the quick simple, no messing about presentation.
Thanks for the introduction! I've come across it and done some SQL at uni, but had forgotten it. I'm applying for a job now where I need to know SQL hehe, so this came in handy ;)
For someone interested in databases and starting from just interest not any real Life computer experience except from graphic designing (Adobe Illustrator), what advice would you give for me learning enough languages to land an ENTRY LEVEL job? In short, what would be a 2nd complimentary language to make me marketable?

Thank you for "dumbling" down the content for us novice coders. I was watching a Python coding video where they were using SQL "lite" and I was confused- not having ever studied SQL. Watching your video, I see the need to learn the language- at some basic to intermediate level.
You made it so easy for this old gal to wrap her head around this concept. Thank you! Now I’m interested in learning more so I can create my own information database.
Had the same thought. I was talking to someone who knew basics of databases and SQL. In some cases, there actually isn't much difference when using lite versions of SQL. But outside of that, what I gathered is size and capabilities separate SQL from excel. SQL databases can be massive in size, where excel cannot. Also the ability to automate population of a database via some type of forum a person may fill out. Obviously, you can't have someone fill out a SQL database row by row, you'd need to automate that somehow. I'm sure there's much more too.
The style of making understand the concept was very unique . And I understand it nicely. And I didn't work in any company I am a student , and tomorrow is my IT exam. Thank you for such a wonderful and animatic explanation.❤
Next time my wife who works in data starts talking about SQL I’m gona know what she’s talking about rather than just made a joke about squirrels. Thanks
Thank you, Danielle! It was punchy, to the point and very briefly gave me the whole picture! The way you delivered this message very simply was also impressive. Thank you.

Great line! "Super Quick Leaning"!

Facts! Education system is now totally broken and on life support!
Lol same 😂
Poor teacher!
Just tell you teacher to play this video in class.
"SQL Is the one language you probably should learn". Agreed! Data is the backbone of nearly every modern business. SQL is the key to that data.
Am willing to start learning SQL... so where do I start from and what do I need to start

I learnt r ,java and learning python now , do I still need SQL because the key things mentioned here I can equally do it in python
@@Angela-wp2zu Absolutely. SQL will still be useful when the company is not leveraging r, Java, or python.
