Thanks CW good video and information. I wish I had gotten the mandrel die with the opening like yours. I have almost gotten mine set up like it should be. I went with the 21st century version. Again thanks very much for your help and video. May you have a wonderful day 🙏
I am enjoying all of these tools and tips videos lately CW...... I have been wondering about getting a mandrel die would be something to look into or not...... Especially when I had that issue with my necks were tighter than my trimmer pilots were..... since I figured that the expander ball wasn't into the case all of the way. I hadn't have any issues with that anymore. I know the neck tension should be about 3 thou tighter and I don't load cast bullets. So my expander ball is doing the job. But I know mandrel would be better for your necks...... Thanks for sharing!
Good word, CW. My brain hurts now!😅🤠😎 I'll look up some mandrel neck sizing dies and see what I can afford. I think we're all always trying to get better.
Ha its all how far ta want to travel down this rabbit hole. Luckily, and with a free flow of information like my video, it doesn't have to be a steep slippery slope.
Awesome video watched when get stuff do around home. Got called off for 2nd tonight.. and still medical mess. Just add Just bit by wasp in the house at 11:50 night like that thing was felt some neck got in thumb.
Great video on a great product. I use the same exact set up only in 223 rem. I do use the same case neck lube but I use it with the media ball tub and I feel it works better than just straight lube.
Mornin man! I love mine! Was before the great Creed takeover. Wonder if I would have changed my choice if I built that rifle in 2008 or 2010 instead of 1993/5...
@cw2a I love them all haha. I would like to see just how much horse power I could squeeze out of the 65-06. Then do the same with a creed... ya know just to see how close haha
I have passed 3100 with a 140 in mine. BUT its throated long & has a 26" barrel. Im also probably over spec for pressure but it shows safe in my gun. Thats solid 264 manual velocity. (Also loaded lite in manuals today) generally the Creed is about 2800 on a good day. Easy peasy for the 6.5/06 ta pass 3000. Its closer to the nee 6.5 PRC then the "old" Creed. 🤘🏼🤟🏽👍🏼❤️🩹
Good morning Sir! I watched over on Rumble. Great idea for a video. Very educational. 🤛🏻🔫🇺🇸

I never tried it. That way I'll look into that. Thanks for the tip! Thanks for stopping by. I appreciate it.❤️🩹🙏
You did not metion annealing brass...do you anneal? As this also helps with neck tension and less springback....
ABSOLUTELY!!!!
Its REQUIRED!!! I attempted, not to confuse or muddy this step of the process with other steps.
100% Annealing is huge and required.
Good stuff .
Much appreciation sir!! 🤟🏽❤️🩹👍🏼
6.5-06 i wanna put one together. Morning CW

CW do you resize your brass without the expander ball in the die? then use the mandrel to open up the necks?
Exactly Michael. Just remove the decaper stem along with the ball. Re size as normal. I also debur cases.
Then come back in extra step and size necks.
