Great video. I love seeing trailers that are currently being used. It’s real life. Gives people ideas on storage spaces and how you could use it. Great job! Looked at one today at the rv show. Checked a lot of boxes. Especially for wife. That’s the last hurdle I have to jump. 😂
We have a similar floor plan for myself and my wife. It is an east to west with the king bed. We have 3 small dogs so the king bed was a must but we love this floor plan.
We have the the same setup, we went with the Hensley as well. Expensive gear but I’ve never had an issue or white knuckle experience. Just tows like a champ!

I enjoyed the tour of your handsome camper. Was wondering if you have found a spot for a garbage can that works for you. Also, wondering if the bedroom gets hot with the door shut.
Thank you! We have small trash cans for both the kitchen and bathroom. We put the kitchen can under the sink when on the go but put it out underneath the extended counter space when in camp. Typically we don’t shut the bedroom door but when we do there’s no issue with it keeping cool.
Great tour; thank you! We're looking at a 2600RB and hoping to pull the trigger soon. Where did you get those insulator pillows for the upper hatches? great idea

We have the same year and camper. Overall it’s a well made unit that we’ve pulled all over the northeast with very few issues. This is ours second grand design and we’ve been happy with both.
@@Foxtrot_Adventures then you must visit Acadia National Park. Take warm clothes as fall in Maine is chilly. Beautiful state, and avoid the highways around NYC and Hartford Connecticut if you can. Very aggressive busy roads. Portland and Bar Harbor great to visit as well.
Thanks. Nice rig. We've narrowed it down to this or the 2500RL but the ability to access everything, with the slides in, when doing an overnight at a Cracker Barrel/Walmart, etc....is important to us. I love the layout better on this but the slide may be the tipping point. What has been ya'lls experience with this?
We’ve yet to stay at a Cracker Barrel or Walmart but often stay at Harvest Hosts for layovers. We’ve been able to put the slide out at every stop. We do like the rear bathroom for restroom breaks on the move and can access the kitchen/table for lunch on the go. I think you’ll do just fine with either model. Go with however you’d get the most use out of it! 😁🦅
Thank you! You cannot while the slide is in but that hasn’t presented a problem for us. If we stop while traveling we can easily access the restroom and kitchen.
Thanks for the walkthrough and review of the trailer, which is also what I like to get after considering a few factors, of which the major one obviously, like in your case, is the wife's preference. 😁 I'm also interested in installing the Propride P3 hitch, which is kind of a offspring of the Hensley Arrow. I hope you can help me with this question: are you supposed to periodically (say each year) lubricate the hitch ball? If so, it looks like it is a pretty involved operation just to re-grease it. Thanks!
Do what the Mrs. says! 😆 I do believe that is “recommended” for the Hensley Arrow; however, we have yet to do that ourselves. I would recommend following on Facebook the Hensley Arrow Users Group. Any questions you have are quickly answered there. I looked at the hitch today and it doesn’t appear as complicated as you might think. Not everything has to come off, several places you can do a quick detach. Stay safe! 🦅
We have a 2021 22RBE and love it. Theater seats and no dinette make it the perfect couple's camper for us. Full access to everything with the slide closed was a huge selling point (same bathroom as yours as well). We do want to go bigger eventually...looking at a Reflection 315RLTS (mainly because I need the closet space 😂).
I like the idea of full access with the slide in. Certainly you have more options! I could see us looking into a Reflection someday as well, they are spacious & beautiful!
I also have a 2021 22RBE that works great for the wife and I for a couples camper. The camper has enough room to be comfortable, yet light enough for a F150 to pull it through the Missouri Ozark mountains. Like Stacie was saying - full access when stealth camping in parking lots. So far this has been a good starter rig for us. I will say that if I had a 3/4 ton truck I would have a 2600RB.
Nice review - thank you. Questions: 1. I'm confused about the chairs option on GD website, do you have the "tri-fold" option and does that make into a bed? I would want the bed option, and so I don't know if that means I get the tri-fold or not. 2 - based on what we saw in the video (all your gear), what is your trailer weight and hitch weight? Thank you.
Thank you! We do not have a couch, it’s just the two recliners with the center console (theater seating). The dining room table can be made into a bed. Trailer is around 8000 lbs and hitch weight (with Hensley) is around 600 lbs.
@@Foxtrot_Adventures to clarify, I'm asking about all the gear you had - what is your weight loaded and hitch when loaded with all the gear we saw in this video. Thanks again.
@@edubya9230 yes, good question, I knew where you were going with that. I have not weighed it formally via a scale so any answer would only be an appropriate estimate.
Hey how's it going new subscriber here from texas We are having a hard time deciding whether we want a grand design. Imagine twenty six r b or the grand design transcend But whatever choice we make they are both really. Awesome R v's and have lots of space and the finishes are extremely nice. Thank you for sharing. My main question is this. When you're on the road, if you make a pit stop, do you lose access to the bedroom or bathroom with the slide in?
@@Foxtrot_Adventures Nice RV to be sure but you quickly discovered that it is a 3/4 ton truck camper. If you had a GD 22mle then the Tundra would have been fine. The only thing you would have lost is some floor space in the bathroom.
@@josephharrell5724 certainly, from everything I read I realized from the start that at some point we were likely to upgrade the tow vehicle. We do intend to complete the lower 48 and venture to Alaska. Very excited to see what the future holds! 😁

Ours only has 1 A/C unit which is adequate. I definitely think 2 units would be the way to go.
