in 1961 I was 13 years old boy I discovered Bill in my nineteens listining the Trio 64 album So far, at my age of 73 I have all the discs of the Great Bill
It's one of those Bill Evans pieces I have been listening to for some 50 years & I have the feeling that I am discovering it for the first time every time I listen to it ... Amazing.
This is so incredible on every level. Lately I've been really focusing on how amazing his sense of timing is for this performance. Several You Tubers have uploaded nearly note for note versions and none of them get his timing right. So I always come back to this version to get blown away again and again. A masterpiece by Bill and the entire band.
honestly, I wasnt much into jazz. But then I heard Bill Evans and now im hooked! His sound has this very unique soothing quality. Not sure how to put it into words but definitely quality music!
After watching the last episode of the first season Owari no Seraph, I've been looking for this. The instrumental is so good. I love that it is included in the series.
@@Forestier1 very true! lol On the same lane, doing yoga has helped me immensely for long practice sessions (3+ hs). So strenght and lenght those backs, people.
Evans and Gould: both were supreme artists who led troubled lives, lived only five decades and left sublime musical legacies that will forever, technology allowing, be balm for the listener's spirit.

Working guys, bus drivers, janitors, barflies. Bill’s on your side.
The greatest jazz pianist! Thanks Bill you are unforgettable
Who else is like him? He's the best, I concur. Who else plays so composedly and beautiful as him?
Oh my! There is really nothing that can be said about this, except maybe 'thank you, Bill'.
Nice🤗
Sitting in front of the fire, dog on my lap, Bill serenading me with his playing… Life is good.
dogs are good
Most beautiful version of this song ever played. Hard to believe this was all done in one day, unrehearsed!
Билл Эванс-это что-то!Таких нынче НЕТ!!!

SUBLIME
Why do legendary piano arts hunch over like that while playing? Glenn Gould does the same thing... Anyone know?
He is riding the spirit
It does actually provide some relief to the scapulothoracic (upper back) muscles when you’ve been sitting and playing for extended periods.
