AJ Hurt, You fell because you leaned into the hill. If you lean into the hill your edges have almost no angle on which to hold an edge (almost 0 degrees). Thus your skis have to slip out from under you. Remember you want to keep your center of gravity approximately perpendicular to the slope of the hill. In that way you can always presure the front cuff of the top of your boots to allow you to use the sidecut of the skis to turn (engage the sidecut of the skis). Otherwise you have to do skid turns (which amount to braking), when you are inevitably in the back seat. It is almost impossible to pressure the front edges of your skis when you are in the backseat (effectively leaning backwards).

Friggin' amazing. Mikaela has several gates where she scrubbed a lot of speed and still pulled out 1.11 secs. on the then leader...😘
