The Silver Birch Theatre - The Song of The Woodland - Landscape Photography
During this video I explore the Silver Birch tree's history, uses and song. This is a photography tutorial vlog that not only meticulously guides you through the art of capturing stunning, breathtaking images but also weaves in inspiring, thought-provoking poetry to fuel your creative spirit.
In addition, this tutorial shares intriguing, lesser-known woodland facts that will deepen your appreciation for the natural world, and immerses you in the enchanting, soothing sounds of the forest using a unique, innovative device from Music of the Plants.
After reading your comments, I’ve decided to create something special to help others find their focus and flow with photography. You have all helped me put this together with your words of wisdom and encouragement to finally go for it! Focus Flow is a mindful photography platform. 'The Silver Birch Theatre' by Suzannah Mary
The Silver Birch woodland, a crowded theatre
It's long slender bones emerge from the bracken.
It’s breast bare, it’s shoulders broad
A spectrum of Emerald Green fluttering in the light
    arabesque, Tendu, pirouette
Their branches hold each pose gracefully
Snow White trunk, swan lake. Baltic dance
The Birch performs, it’s roots entangled with the earth below
    Fertile soil, saturated ground.
    Heart shaped droplets dangling elegantly
As the leaves dance softly in the breath of the wind

Bravo!!! Another beautiful video! It's great how you design your videos now! Everything has a gentle swing, a beautiful flow and overall it's a pleasant experience, something for the soul. I can see it and feel it: you are a modern fairy - a soulful, aesthetic ambassador of the woodland, the trees and photography! Very successful photos of birch trees with ferns, such a beautiful place... Thank you very much and keep it up!

Nice vlog Suzannah lovely words as usual. The birch is an amazing tree all so known as the lady of the woods. The first consonant or the ogham alphabet and first month of the Celtic tree calendar . This tree symbolises renewal, protection the tree of Inception and New beginnings I could go on.
A great tree to photograph in the autumn while it sheds its yellow leaf's to sleep for the winter. Good work....

Another interesting video. The Birch sap can be drunk as is like you said, but can also be turned into sugar, syrup, wine, beer. The bark can be used to make tinder for fire lighting and if thick enough be used to make cups, bowls, plates etc and even canoes if the tree is big enough which is unlikely in the UK.

@@FocusFlowBySuzannahMary Cool, i have one too. They recommend the tree be at least 8 inches/ 200mm acroos for tapping the sap.

I wonder if these trees are in the same family as our Aspens here in the US where in particular in some canyon forests of the Eastern California Sierras and parts of the Colorado Rockies there are miles of these silver white trees that have leaves all turn a bright yellow and some orange colors in the autumn season, making for amazing opportunities for vibrant images especially against deep blue skies and alpine mountains. I'm no botanist or dendrologist so by visual comparisons I'm guessing they are.

Sounds like they are, I wonder what your Aspen were used for. I am really excited to shoot this area in Autumn, I could spend days here. There are some really interesting tree shapes and formations. I can image the alpine mountains is a stunning backdrop 🙏⛰️

@@FocusFlowBySuzannahMary I have no idea what Aspens are used for but I assume it's the same as silver birch. You do have awesome photo opps with the different and unique shapes of trees where you are, here we have to really search for that. Yes, the mountain backdrops really makes these trees stand out in the fall months. 🍁

@@FocusFlowBySuzannahMary I am from the Mi'kmaw Indian nation of Turtle Island (Europeans call "America" today) and we have a very special relationship with trees. They are our relatives. We have a creation story where the first Mi'kmaw people came from the ash trees. I enjoy seeing you connecting spiritually with trees.
