when you're not concerned about weight, space or size, lead crystal would have been the better option. %90 discharge capability, higher amp input and output, and does not suffer as much capacity loss from high/low temperatures as lithium does. With that said, AGM lead acid was almost the worst choice for this application unless he needed it for ballast...
