I am from U.K. and have seen Adam Lambert in concert here with Queen. He is amazing. But on discovering Dimash, I listen every day and have travelled to three different countries just to see Dimash. I am also going to his concerts in Budapest and Istanbul. I’ve never travelled to any other country to see a singer, only Dimash, so I think you can see how I rate the two singers. Dimash goes above and beyond as a performer. Has learnt songs in many other languages, plays a few instruments, dances etc and experiments with styles and seeing what else his voice can do, all the time. Such dedication. Plus, he is respectful, loving, patriotic and humanitarian. Us dears appreciate Dimash for his whole personality.

Adam is one of the best vocalist out there but in terms of technique and range, control of that range, Dimash is superior. ❤ The only thing Adam might have over Dimash is the fact that he is a native English speaker. I love them both but I am only obsessed with Dimash. 😂

I don´t think you were entirely wrong. Dimash´s natural voice type is high tenor. You were wrong only about the "nothing special", because Dimash has a huge extension in both directions, that is, in both his lower and higher register. Normal people are limited by their natural voice type, Dimash is not!

Why would you want the fans to clash with each other. Don't do the comparison it will only lead to heated discussions. Not worth it. Dimash has a beautiful soul and certainly wouldn't want his dears to get upset over him being compaired to somebody else. Just enjoy his music. Greetings from belgium.
Well, two fandoms fighting in the comments helps the algorithm hence, his channel. I like his reactions so far, but I don't think I'm watching this one, both are great. No Adam's fan is going to say Dimash is better and no Dear is going to say Lambert is better, so it would be a pointless discussion that could get ugly as soon toxic fans from both sides get involved.

Absolutely no comparisons, you cannot compare Dimash to anyone. It doesn't matter who you want to compare him to, he does consider himself the best, even if we know he is. After you have listened to
50, 60, 70 performances by Dimash then u will understand more
about who he is and what he can do.
If you are going to do comparisons you are wasting your, and our, time, so just listen and appreciate what you are hearing.

Igor Krutoy composed this song for Dimash. Not interested in a comparison with Adam. He's very talented, but Dimash is on a different level than anyone else.
I love both Dimash and Adam Lambert and they are both incredible talents. I think I would give the edge to Dimash simply because his range is wider than Adam's but I love them both.

Thanks for your reaction. Keep listening to Dimash, it is an experience. Adam Lambert is a great singer indeed. But Dimash is THE greatest singer and vocalist of this generation and perhaps the last 30 years. This is not just fanboy talk. This is fact if you consider every part of what makes a vocalist extraordinary (vocal technique, vocal control and range, texture in tone, breath control, pitch control, versatility, ability to sing anything from opera to pop to any genre and to switch between voices flawlessly etc). He is unique as an artist and deserves even more recognition than he gets.
Great reaction, great venue! I saw my first live Dimash concert in Prague in 2022, so I have good memories of Dimash and of the Czech Republic. I'll be off to my third Dimash concert in Budapest soon, I'm in the biggest and best rabbit hole ever!!

If you mean who's Igor Krutoy, yes, he's the composer and pianist. Whenever you see him with Dimash, you know he wrote the music. They are a fantastic team.
Krutoy is the russian equivalent of the American composer Andrew Lloyd weber who wrote many broadway shows. he came out of retirement to work solely with Dimash as composer, and collaborator, he is a billionaire and doesn't need the money. if you watch sinful passion (slavic bazaar) I think you will see him in the audience at the end. that is how they met

His performances are magical. Igor Krutoy came out of retirement to compose music specifically for DImash's unique voice. If you see him at the piano, chances are that he composed it. That is why he watches Dimash so intently. They are usually very difficult to sing, and only Dimash has the talent to perform them.

I’m 67 years old now and was raised on opera.
My favourite all time singer before Dimash was Ivan Rebroff who God bless his soul passed on a few years ago.
He was Russian and Jewish, born in Poland 31 July 1931. His was the best voice I had ever heard even though I love the three tenors, Placido, Jose and Luciano.
Ivan had a 6-7 octave range and sang the most beautiful and excellent songs about Russia.
You could feel the tradition and pride in the music. His music conjured up images of men on strong horses riding through the snow or men in their red outfits doing a Russian dance.
He sang Fidler on the Roof in Paris, matinee’s and evenings for one thousand days straight.
I saw him three times on the times he came to Australia.

So... Igor Krutoy is the composer of the song. He's a legend. He has knighthood-level awards from four different governments (USSR, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, and Russian Federation). He's also the world's only billionaire musician. He owns Russia's equivalent of MTV.
He saw Dimash perform the song "Sinful Passion" (Грешная Страсть) and came out of retirement specifically to write for and mentor him, recognizing an instrument that he could write songs for that nobody else could have performed. If you react to that one (the original band, A-Studio is on stage with him, playing the song, how cool is that!?) it's very obvious in Igor's face at the end in the audience as he leads the standing ovation what he's seen, and what he's thinking.
He's since helped guide Dimash through his Master's in Composition and toward his Ph.D., funded many projects, both together and Dimash's own projects, including his own performing arts center with a one-of-a-kind augmented reality concert venue, and has helped him navigate the world of corporate music.
For an American, or those familiar with American exported culture, he's kind of like the John Williams of Russia and Ukraine (he's a Ukrainian-Russian Jew).
Another good Dimash song for a coach is Ave Maria. No, not that one. It's sort of a reimagining of Vavilov's version, also composed and arranged by Igor. There's a note at the end that will absolutely blow your mind... not because of how high or loud or anything like that, but because of what he does with it. I like to say that Ave Maria is an ancient Christian prayer, set to music by a Russian-Ukrainian Jew to be sung without words by a Kazakh Muslim in a Russian theater, just a few months before the war began. It's beyond meaningful.

Comparison with Lambert? NOT a good idea. The fan bases for each artist are very unlikely to switch their loyalty. And it could generate anger and upset if the fans of one criticize the other artist.
I admire Adam Lambert. I have listened to Dimash-and ONLY Dimash-daily since discovering him in 2017 when he was 22 years old. For me, NO ONE can compare!

He is so awesome, isn’t he? Stranger is one of my absolute favorite songs. I get goosebumps every time I hear it. I’m a real fan of movies that have such a mystical or oriental atmosphere. And it was such a great idea by Dimash to use the Qobyz for that.
The Qobyz is a very old two stringed Kazakh folk instrument and it’s wide spread among Kazakhs. The man who often is playing the kobyz in Dimash’s performance (also here in Stranger) is the best on this instrument and a good friend of Dimash. His name is Olzhas Qurmanbek. You often can hear this instrument when Dimash sings in his native tongue like Samaltau, Qairan Elim or Òmir Òter. In the end of Stranger he introduced him to the audience and he thanked them.
As a Kazakh he speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently. He sang Stranger for the first time at New Wave in Sochi, Russia in 2021. This is an international competition for young artists, founded in 2002 by Igor Krutoy. Dimash sang here as a guest and was also a member of the jury. Igor Krutoy, like so many other masterpieces, wrote this song specifically for Dimash and his incredible vocal range (in this song alone he sings 5 octaves F1-F6 I think). And the last note he held for 20 seconds. The way he switchs so affortlessly between the different registers and octaves in one song is so mesmerizing and unbelievable.
Stranger was written by the famous Russian/Ukrainian composer, producer and songwriter Igor Krutoy. His and Dimash's collaboration created true masterpieces. He writes songs that only Dimash could sing with his vocal range, such as Olimpico, Stranger or Ave Maria. You’ll often see him accompanying Dimash on the piano. If Igor Krutoy is there, the song was also written by him.The two have no contract. Their cooperation is based more on mutual trust. It’s more like a father/son relationship.

This song and this performance from this Arnau concert is my absolute favourite🥰 I think this version is the best, because his performance is so intense and breathtaking. The light show, the background dancers. Everything. With this song in this version I always get breathlessness. The way he represents himself on stage, the hand movements. I think he has incredibly beautiful hands🤭(and apparently many cameramen think so too, since many of the camera shots during his performances very often only show his hands. Sometimes it seems as if he is conducting himself. This is really fascinating). And the facial expression, the look. There he looks so commanding😱. In my opinion, this version of Olimpico is one of the most impressive performances ever. If you don't know what the song is about, you'd think he was going to war and is calling his army to a lost battle 😅! It’s absolutely stunning. And I don't even mean the vocal part, but also his stage presence. The whole package. Oh wow I’m starting to rave again…🤤 Sorry but I can’t help it🥺. I swear it is mind-blowing 🤯

Igor Krutoy is a famous retired Russian composer. Once he heard Dimash he contacted him and wanted to be a part of Dimash’s career. He has since composed many songs for Dimash. Stranger is one of those songs. He is not just a piano player. 😊

1) While performing on the I Am A Singer in China in 2017, a highly respected and talented singer from Taiwan, Terry Lin, became like a second father to Dimash. The rules of the competition limited each performer to sing only 1 of their own original songs. The one Dimash chose was "Unforgettable Day". Terry loved the song. In the video below, there is a fantastic show of mutual respect while at the same time letting out all the stops when the performed the song together on the stage at the Jackie Chan Action Film Festival.

2) You most likely are familiar with the SciFi film, "The Fifth Element"? There is a song in this film that is sung by an alien. It was written by Eric Serra, the composer, intending it to be so difficult that no human could sing it (all notes were sampled independently in the studio then cut together). The song is "The Diva Dance" (opens with the aria from Lucia de Lammermoor). Of course, many sopranos took this as a challenge and have tackled it. Well, Dimash has too! During the Spring Festival while participating in Singer 2017, Dimash sang this with Li Yugang, a male star of the Beijing Opera, specialist in the "nandan" roles - males who play females. Be prepared - this is a mind-blowing duet, pairing Diva Dance with a piece from classical Chinese opera.

I was in Dimash concert in Prague on 16 Apr 2022. I was so impressed with the beauty of the city of Prague. The most impressed me the beautiful architecture of the buildings. I could stop and stand in front of practically each building and enjoy it as so many beautiful details on them preserved through the history. My friends all the time dragged and pulled me asking why I stop in front of each building and I was keep pointing them on the amazing details. And Czech people were super friendly. I’ve be there for work and pleasure ❤️ Your proposition for comparing Adam Lambert to Dimash is a fun idea however I would not recommend it 😊 I think that Adam is a great vocalist and I have know him since the day he was discovered as the runner up in the 2009 the American Idol. In 2022 I heard Dimash for the first time performing “SOS” and I became mesmerized! I have never followed or been a true fan of any other artist in my life. I would fall in love with this or that song for a couple of weeks and then forget the melody. However now I listen to Dimash only, everyday. His art is permanent to me. I don’t compare him to any “street/commercial” singer. He’s unique. I don’t go to concerts for any other artist not even in town, but I have gone to Kazakhstan, Malaysia and will go to Budapest just to hear Dimash live! If you decide to do the comparison you must listen to more than just two songs of Dimash. Each performance is different from the other and his vocals are always amazing. He’s even more mesmerizing performing live…

Igor Krutoy is a billionaire composer/ singer / musician who came out of retirement to compose music for Dimash as soon as he heard him for the first time. Every time you see him at the piano in one of Dimash’s videos, the song was composed by him.
Please don’t compare him to anyone! There will be fights. And for us it’s not enjoyable.

Also Dimash’s covers, that have also been sung by other singers, are really old and he sang them mostly at singing competitions. They get compared to home studio renditions that are quieter and frankly easier to sing. But still fights start about him „always exaggerating“ 🙄 even though he has tons of quiet songs as well. And no one is listening to each other. 😥

No, you can appreciate individual singers without comparaing them. For there no comparison. There are good singers, there are great singers and then theres dimash. In his lane he ia the only One.
It's very interesting to see his reaction in the midst of nature. I don't think there's any need to compare singers, as Dimash has a style that crossovers classical and contemporary music. Adam Lambert has a more pop style, mixing totally different styles.
Although his range is huge I also believe Dimash himself has said he is a lyrical tenor
Igor Krutoy is a retired poet/composer. When he saw Dimash perform, he came out of retirement to compose for him. You may notice Mr. Krutoy as a judge in some Diana Ankudinova performances. He has also influenced her training and career.

Krutoy is Russian composer. They collaborated quite intensively for quite some time. You will see him on stage with Dimash on many occasions. He composed some songs specifically for Dimash and gave him some of his old songs to sing.

Igor Krutoy came out of retirement to work with Dimash. he is a composer but Dimash composes music himself and can speak and sing in many languages. He has done a few small videos, worth watching. He is also a humanitarian (see The Story of One Sky) and can sing many styles. I am one of his 'dears' which is his word for his fans. Amazing young man.
Thanks for an insightful entertaining reaction! Subscribed Adam is a great singer but Dimash is the preeminent vocalist of this our time. I seriously doubt that Adam has a usable range of 7 octave 7 semi-tones like Dimash.
