I havE combined adhd I was diagnosed when 6 in kindergarten am in 4th grade now oh and o turn ten on April 24th 2022 anyway what kind do u have? I act different depending on mood or just how am feeling sometimes am mature sometimes immature sometimes distracted sometimes focused sometimes orangnized sometimes now impulsive not etc oh and also forgetful sometimes and then remember like a week later or take a hour to think what I was gonna say and o sometimes like a introvert sometimes a extrovert basically a ambivert I get off topic a lot to!
And same like if my birthday is in like 9 months I’ll be like “MY BIRTHDAY IS SOON ITS ONLY IN NINE MONTHS” (my b-day on 24th) also for forgetting usually things right after they happened or if I have to put my hand down while listening to another student I forgot what I was gonna say and I have bad adhd every teacher I have had except kindergarten and under and 2nd grade has been like that adhd is not a excuse even though I wasn’t using it as one though 1st and 3rd grade not often

I’ve never gone to a psychiatrist before and I’m not diagnosed with anything but the part about either finishing it all in one breath or doing it for 5 minutes and then getting bored and moving on is extremely relatable.

just be aware that adhd isn't only a lack of focus, but can manifest and equally strong hyperfocus (i.e. internet, gaming, etc).
thats why in the beginning she said it could either go 1. she'd finish in one breathe or 2. she does it for 5 minutes then do something else. And honestly this is why I never bought one of these even though I wanted to do them so bad. I knew I would never finish It T-T

as a Psych student with ADHD, people with ADHD usually are better at multitasking! We can't focus on one thing for too long but this means we are faster when switching between different tasks (which is the essence of multitasking since our brain actually can't do multiple things at once, it just switches between things fast). It's a superpower, besties!

@@prisha3291 basically this video😂well it's actually a little different for everyone and also there's a difference between girls/women and boys/men (plus there's a difference between ADHD and ADD) but to summarize it people with ADHD have trouble paying attention to something (as the name says). But there are also moments were you hyperfocus on unimportant things for like 5 hours (it's like Faline said in the beginning: she either finishes it immediately or stops after 5 min bc she's not interested anymore). Also there's fun things like putting a donut in the microwave (or heating up something in the oven or in a pan), turning around and completely forgetting about it (happens with other tasks too like oh I could watch some TV. Then you think "oh I should get some food", go to the kitchen, realize it's dirty, cleaning and decluttering your entire home for 3 hours and then realizing the TV is still on).

I think what non-ADHD folk don't always realize is that having ADHD as an adult can be a barrier to finding out you have it, just like needing ADHD meds is a barrier to getting them, because of the executive functioning and organization needed to follow through on setting and keeping appointments, etc. Even if you don't have it and you have similar struggles, you're valid and we see you! 🌻✨
@@XuiLeeEv thank you so much. I always had the cliché of a hyperactive boy in mind, it took me 19 years to understand that ADHD in girls (and in general in everyone of course) can be very different. Also my grades were always good so my parents didn't worry much about it.
But the older I get, the harder it seems to get and now, at 21, I struggle a lot with everything, especially the workplace that is so different from what I was used to in school.
Within the ADHD community, I felt safe and understood for the first time in my life. Reading people's experiences and being able to relate to them makes me unbelievably happy.
I have adhd (I got diagnosed over ayear ago, with a million more things lol) and I just can’t sleep, so I take a tablet to get sleepy, sometimes it doesn’t work (rarely)

As a person that does diamond painting a lot and loves. You can't try do it everything in one go, like a day or several hours because you gonna get tired of it. For me is just to enjoy the ride, so after 3-4 hours I get tired.
Never underestimate the power of an adhd hyperfocus xD if my parents didn’t ‘force’ me to eat, my hyperfocus could last for hours and hours and hours
Wouldn't this take like a month or so to finish?
I usually cant do moere then 2-3 hours a day without getting a massive headache. So usually do a 10x10 section (40x40 drills) that usually is the max I can do, depending on how much confetti there is in the pic (my last one every 10x10 section had at least 52 of 54 colors, and switching them takes time 😝). Don’t mind needing almost 3 months to finish it (it was a 60x90 with 2-3 hours almost every day), just enjoy the ride like you and usually listen to a good book, so it doesn’t feel like a complete waste of time.
I love diamond painting and it is nothing for me to sit for 8-12 hours straight working on them. I finish 60cmx60cm in a week with lots of confetti!
