The one thing I love about this is that it shows how the queen isn't actually evil but stubborn headed to do the right thing in her own way. This isn't a fight against a bad person; it's a fight to show that their is more than one way to achieve a goal and sometimes, it means acknowledging your way isn't the best way. This is someone who has probably lived long enough to predict most outcomes being forced to see a new perspective and respecting it and giving it room to grow. It's a battle to acknowledge a new generation and letting go. Basically, you don't have to parent anymore, the kid is grown up and is gonna be okay scenario
Interesting perspective! While I still think the Witch Queen is a bit of a basket case, it does change my viewpoint of this fight. It convinces me that this was an important, meaningful battle with a true victory instead of a disappointing forfeit
completely and totally braindead take. The queen is 100 percent evil. Just because after she lost she suddenly feels bad doesnt mean that she didnt just happily try and cut everyone asta and her daughter knew in half just cause she wasnt getting her way. This whole idea that every villain can have a turning point is juvenile. What right does a person that has most likely killed hundreds if not thousands of people have to exist with no safeguards. Ive seen the rest of the show so i know that shes suddenly okay but she still deserves to be stripped of her power.
