It works, the nutcracker does not attack if you dont move at all, Nogla just had to move while it was locking on to him and moved behind everyone as it was shooting at him and killed them all.

A correction to Delirious. The nutcracker won't target you if you do not move at all, that goes for everything. Walking, you can be crouched just don't stand up straight or go into a crouch (I think you can get away with that though), jumping (or it's jumping you can get away with), moving your mouse or even emoting, however if the nutcracker sees you move once, he will never lose you, meaning that staying still won't work if he sees you. You only have to stay still though if his eye is out, if his eye isn't out then you don't have to stay still.
"Just don't move" Nogla runs through everyone and gets them killed....
