Jimmie's 7th championship win at Homestead always gives me goosebumps. Thats my favorite win from him. God it sucks that he's retired.
I guessed it right!
Thank you so much Jimmie for all you have done for NASCAR! It’s been a blessing to watch you race! Good luck next year in Indycar!
He finished 5th in his final race. Chase Elliott is the Champion,
You can tell he worked hard that race based off of his previous placements in the last few races.
@@pmuffin82 late but he finished “1st” in the non championship 4 drivers field.
I am really glad that he got a top 5 on his last race.
A perfect way to end the 2020 season for Hendrick a champion leaving while another championship steps in
The Reality is Setting In Now. The Torch was Passed This Evening And The Legach will Live On
I just realized Larson finished second in the race of his last championship and his last win.
One of my memorable moments from his luxurious career was the 2010 Auto Club 500 at Auto Club Speedway, where he won. This was my first ever NASCAR race attending, and my favorite driver won. The best thing is that he did his burn out in front of my seats. Just sooo surreal in many levels
There will never be another Jimmie Johnson. His resume is impressive. 2 time Daytona 500 winner, 7X champion, 83 wins. One of the best to ever do it.
@@rcguy902Dale Fans hate Jimmie so much for no reason it’s comical
The greatest driver of his generation. Jimmie was the man!
Jimmie is the goat and no one will ever replace him
Top spots for greatest of all time in nascar
Richard Petty 7 championships and 200 wins
David Pearson 3 championships and 105 wins
Jeff Gordon 4 championships and 93 wins
Jimmie Johnson 7 championships and 83 wins
Dale Earnhardt 7 championships and 76 wins
My top 5
1. Richard Petty
2. Jimmie Johnson
3. David Pearson
4. Dale Earnhardt
5. Jeff Gordon
@@timpowell1429 Dale Earnhardt is #1
Better than Jimmie petty and Pearson
@@rcracer8872 I think all the 7 time champs are exchangeable but Dale is definitely the most exciting one of em. He had such a cool personality and was aggressive in a good way
13:33 that moment will be edged in our memories forever
Thank you for everything you’ve done for us Jimmie
Man he provided so many memories for me. So many Christmas gifts, die cast cars. I'm so happy he was my role model growing up. He was mature, professional and a great champion. Hats off and thanks for being a BIG part of my childhood.
I always loved watching Jimmy, was my favorite since I was about 12 years old, NASCAR just isn’t the same.
When no one acknowledges the 2019 Clash win because it was non-points paying
the 7th Championship video gets me every time!! I was there for ALL of his title wins and it was so amazing!!! makes me tear up just watching it over and over again.... :) thank you for sharing these Jimmie wins :)
Fun fact: his 4th win was his only rain shortened win
I also think one of his best wins was his superman win in 2016, he broke the tie and did it in a special way
@@jbaskinger41 Hopefully. Wish my championship pick Denny Hamlin, 3rd favorite Cup driver, was the champ though
thank you man... what a wonderfull movie to watch!!! from a Big JJ Fan!
Tomorrow me: Alexa play "It's so hard to say goodbye to yesterday"
That Atlanta win really helped everyone in the organization
You don’t realize you were in the good ole days until they’re long gone. I miss Johnson, Gordon and Stewart. The sport hasn’t been the same since
So many EPIC last lap/corner passes 🤯
Win #19 is really special for me, I was young, watching my first NASCAR race, no idea who to root for so I just watched a few laps and was like “that blue and silver car looks really cool” then he won the damn race, and the rest is history!
Well for me I will really miss Jimmie Johnson for the rest of the year.
Even though he didn't finish the race, I'm glad he got top 5 to end out his amazing 19 year career. Thanks, Jimmie!
So long partner 🐐
I'm a Johnson fan and I was at his final win only time I saw him win didint know it was going to be his final
The Martinsville race in 07 between him and Gordon is my favorite race and Johnson's win
What a legend - grew up in a mobile home park. Went on to win 5 in a row and 7 total.
Congratulations on your career Jimmy! 🎉
jimmie johnson will allways be the best driver at hendrick and also a legend
It's insane he was stuck tied for most titles and most career wins, as someone who's sundays as a kid through high school years were spent watching my favorite driver JJ i still wish he could've gotten #8 and shut up the GOAT arguments or atleast won one last race to sit alone as the most winningest driver in nascar history ☹️🥺
Well, I didn’t expect to cry today... but here we are.
An end of an era for Jimmie, Hendrick Motorsports, and NASCAR. What a career.
Who knows, Maybe with him coming back this year he'll add one more win
We will never forget him
A bittersweet day. I became a NASCAR fan in 2011 so I despised the 48's golden horseshoe. I wish he could have faded a little slower in terms of getting a win or two in his last 3 years.
Even if though I don’t like watching NASCAR I supported him from time to time
Little did we know in 2002 he would become for about a 7 year period one of the most dominant racers we've ever seen
What’s interesting too is that in 2002 he was a serious contender for the championship, at one point leading the points standings (which had never been achieved by a rookie before). He ended up placing 5th in the rankings at the end of the season.
@@john3_14-17would have had a legitimate shot at the title if Robby gordon didn’t show his ass at the Bristol night race. The way that Jimmie’s career parallels Lewis Hamilton’s is nuts.
First 30 seconds of coverage and commentary was better than the 2023 Daytona 500.
Being a lifelong Jimmie fan, I just can't believe we got to this point
The Slide Job with Carl Edwards in Kansas 08' & the 13' Coke Zero 400 (sweeps Daytona that yr) should be in this video. Just saiyan
This is awesome and chase Elliott is an awesome guy and he is a champion 2020 it is so awesome that it is so much better!!!!!
I was there for his 83rd. Someone standing next to me by the catchfence flipped him off as they took the checkered flag.
I'm also glad that Bowman is replacing Jimmie in the 48 and Bowman is the perfect young driver for the 48 in 2021
I miss him
Jimmie finished 5th at phoenix, and he won 5 championships in a row that's pretty cool 5 and 5
Do a vid where you do a tribute to every retiring driver of 2020
Know what's very impressive? Not only did he win 7 championships tying with Petty and Earnhardt, He is the only racer to ever win 5 championships consecutively, from 2006 to '10, nobody has or maybe never will do that again, not in our lifetime potentially. Gordon and Hendrick made the best decision in bringing him to Nascar in 2002, they saw the true potential he had.
UAW- GM Quality 500 2004 "The Winner is Jimmie Johnson"
#ThanksJimmie
My hero is retiring 😞 but in bitter sweet way I don't think I would want it any other way
#JIMMYJOHNSONFORTHEWIN!
Sound like the king from cars 7 word champion and the king have 7 piston cup
He didn’t retire from racing but he did from nascar
😭
How bout his 2019 Daytona win clash
1. Denny Hamlin - #11 - 8 wins
2. Kyle Busch - #18 - 8 wins
3. Kevin Harvick - #4 - 8 wins
4. Brad Keselowski - #2 - 5 wins
5. Aric Almirola - #10 - 4 wins
6. Kurt Busch - #1 - 2 wins
7. Chase Elliot - #9 - 3 wins
8. Martin Truex Jr. - #19 - 3 wins
9. Alex Bowman - #48 - 3 wins

11. Matt Dibenedetto - #21 - 2 wins
12. William Byron - #24 - 0 win
13. Austin Dillon - #3 - 2 wins
14. Tyler Reddick - #8 - 0 wins
15. Cole Custer - #41 - 0 wins
16. Ryan Newman - #6 - 1 win
This is my prediction
7:57 no one gonna notice the clean flag transition
Big things are happening for Hendrick Motorsports
- Kyle Larson was hired by Rick Hendrick to drive the No. 5 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE
- Chase Elliot wins the championship in Jimmie's last year
- William Byron gets his first career win at Daytona and advances to the playoffs
- Alex Bowman is replacing Jimmie in the 48 car in 2021 and he had the best season of his career
all the Hendrick cars had different things happen in the same season
Jimmie Johnson had the best season for a non playoff driver
William Byron had a bittersweet ending Alex Bowman had the best season in his career
Chase Elliot had a championship season beating the 2 best this season Kevin Harvick and Denny Hamlin
Chase Elliot - Championship Season
William Byron - Bittersweet Season
Jimmie Johnson - Retirement Season
Alex Bowman - Good Season
Can't wait for 2021 season with
Kyle Larson - 5
Chase Elliot - 9
William Byron - 24
Alex Bowman - 48
Harvick in two weeks
I miss Jimmie he was a team leader but now it’s up to chase Elliott
And to think if Logano never took out Edwards he would have been a 6 time champion with only 82 wins
Why the 2004 Southern 500 was supposed to be the last race at Darlington?
What about his 2019 clash win?
That was an exhibition. Not really a win that gets added to his win total.
When he won 7 championships he’s a little better than Earnhardt won 4x at Indy 2 Daytona 500s won the Allstar races 3-4 times
Stops at 2017 actually
Anyone notice he skipped 81 & 82
Bruh you obviously need to rewatch the entire video because I’m pretty such these are not all his wins. Only the memorable ones.
Add Lewis he's the best but now you have to love bowman in the 48
You didn’t include when he turned Matt and there was a rain dally and he won
Out of all the years this video has been up, this is the first time I heard this one. Shows how memorable it is.
U forget 2019 clash win
And many All Star wins, but I didn’t include those because they do add onto his tally
You mean 2017
🫡
Not a win but he went from not finishing the rain shortened auto club 400 in 2012 to finish 10th
Top 5 finish to end his full-time career in NASCAR!! Thanks for the memories JIMMAY
Glad he showed he still got it. Wish Denny was the champ though. He's my 3rd favorite Cup driver. Better luck next year
