I'm one of the lucky ones. I had a TIA 1/20 and today I'm working several jobs, driving but still have a slight liimp on the left side. I power through it though. Thanks to your videos I'm understanding more of what happened and at 75 u can still learn so much. Thank you😊😊
I've had four, three of which came in succession (every two weeks) over the course of 30 days. Those last three were in 2018. Recently, a home health nurse downplayed the four incidents..."Was it a stroke or JUST a TIA?" I never said they were strokes...I called them mini strokes because that's what I was told they were. TIA or mini stroke...the deficits are very real. I have a definite short-term memory deficit. It's gotten better over the years. I also have weakness on the right side and fatigue. I'm fortunate in that I have a brain injury specialist and a patient advocate to assist and encourage me.
Thank you so much. I wish I had this video years ago. I had aTIA stroke in either 2k15 or 16 and didn't go to the doctor I had right sided weakness and feeling weird but it only lasted like an hour. In 2k18 I had an aneurysm that caused a stroke on the right side of my brain that paralyzed my entire left side. All the things that led to both my stress, excessive drinking from stress, diet, not exercising, and not regularly going to my doctor also foolishly rejecting blood pressure medications thinking it would somehow destroy my libido and ability to have an erection. Foolish times but I now do all that's necessary and feel and look alot better. Even still in recovery I'm happy I'm different. Thank you again. ☺️🖤
I had a TIA last Monday - feeling scared and emotional. It happened at work, luckily my coworkers took me to the hospital immediately. Currently, i feel emotional and can't sleep. Im having anxiety that i will have another TIA or not wake up from sleeping. 😢
I wish I had a warning sign. I had a stroke due to an AVM rupture and it destroyed my life. I got it removed but I'm still left with the damage it caused. I'm still fighting and working hard to get back what I lost but it's so exhausting, no one should have to go through this.
You and me both, my AVM ruptured back in April of this year. It’s been hella rough but I’m on the road to recovery now, 6 months post surgery and life is somewhat starting to get back to normal now, still got a long ways to go though! I wish you the best of luck on your recovery my friend!!
@@pierrefromwiisports2128 Thank you for your response. I wish you the best also. . I now have a personal trainer which helps a lot, mentally and physically. I will probably go back to PT and OT if the insurance will pay for it. That process isn't the best. I'm also going to try acupuncture. I'm doing much better than I was a year ago, still got a long way to go. I will keep fighting. Take care.
I do MRI and tell anyone that will listen to get an MRI as early in your life as possible. (MRA as well) and those things will be there. AVMs are something you are born with and be seen in an MRA. I remember the first one I saw as an MRI tech. I did the scan, the reformats (AI stuff) and the radiologist called me and said I did it wrong there was no way that could be real. So I did it over and then he said wow never seen one of those before... me neither!! and I havent' seen another one in my 20 plus years as an MRI tech.
Have had stroke since last year may, almost one year. It was an ischemic type. Still limping on my left leg, my left arm cannot move or be raised , fingers not functioning. Any advice
so what is it when you have an episode where you feel like you are lightheaded for a few seconds and you almost blackout, but it passes very quickly? I have had that happen several times and it scared the crap out of me. I didn't have a family doctor at the time so I just let it go.. but now I am wondering what it was. I have high blood pressure. Just had an MRI on my brain that shows some "age related white matter ischemia" So I am thinking that maybe one of those incidents caused it. They are scattered all around with one cluster in the right frontal lobe. Makes me think THAT is related to my left eye blurred vision.
I didn’t get diagnosed or was taken to the hospital as the symptoms did not last more than 15 mins. After doing my research about mild stroke, I know for sure it’s TIA. My mother ignored me because she thought I was overreacting. I’d like to be proactive about this and find out for sure if I’m at risk to have a stroke in the future. Could you please tell guide me on what tests do I need to do to get proper help. Looking forward to your response, thank you!!
I had a cerrebellar stroke last year and i know it is a rare stroke and it has different symptoms...i had vertigo and my ears were effected. I developed Tinnitus and hearing loss. It affects your balance. I am on the road to recovery but i wish i new the signs. Doctors thought i had Labrynthitus for 3 months before correct diagnosis.
hey there, um. I'm , long story-short, I have had mild to severe vertigo off&on for about the last decade. It was the rarest type, that they dont hav a clue about(ss far as my last look up anyways). Its where the earth goes up & down like a real earthquake, only I'm the only one feelin it. And, these trippy specifics affected it alot!: If I couldnt see cause of too bright or too dark (or intermittently goin blinder and gettin better), earthquake time, had to hold on to stuff to walk. & this one's crazy: THIN SOLED SHOES (or bareft)! Indeed! I found it out when somebody gave me a pair of those soft, really thick soled cloggy type of shoes! Tested it out w/ others, definitely could reproduce the effects w,/ other thick shoes, vs. thin sandals, tennis, pumps, etc. And if the barometer was budging, like right before it rains, or when the birds startup in the morning, And when it was monsoon rains it got pretty bad. And, tress, super high stress anxiety from getting abused. When it was like that I started grading it like with my own guesstimate of what it would hit on the Richter Scale. Had to grab on to something get down & hold on. I tried to be good yall, even started out with "LONG STORY SHORT!" Omg🤕🤔🤐 So, I was really just hopin maybe you might know something, or if I post these words here, somebody who know about this ( or doesnt) will see it ... I just would really love to talk to anybody else tthas been tjrough or is going through anything similar to mine.
DOH! I cant believe I didnt atleast put : ✨🪖VERTIGO ✨. .✨(EARTHSHAKE-✨ 💥✨VERTIGO!)" ⛑️✨, And didnt even use CAPSLOK or Sparkles or anything to make it more eyecatchy to get more ...eyes.. , caught on it , um. Thanks for sharing, and . I'm subbin and tellin some friends n family who will love this content also, n maybe even get serious about the mini strokes he already had.. And has recently started up again. SIGH😶
Well today my left cheek started feeling weird like after punching feeling but without pain of difficulty moving (Had completely facial expressions control) and at some point i get up from bed and in my left side i started seeing a black spot for a bit, the cheek feeling remained for a bit longer. No other symptoms but i am definitely worried if it was a mini stroke
❤😊Thank you so much. How can i bless you? GOD bless! My name is Leah. 2 yrs 8 months Basal Ganglia Stroke. 😢❤😢! Afraid of my situation coz I have been hospitalized twice now. Last March 10-17, 2024. Then today my affected foot is swolen again. 😢❤😢 Pls help me.❤😊❤
I just had one on Wednesday while playing a video game with my son. No pain, but everything went gray out of my right eye and where I could see color was pixelated. Tripped me out. Saw my eye doctor yesterday. In my 30s in really good health so I was shocked when my eye doctor basically yelled at me to head to the ER. EKG, CT scan, blood work. They said I look good and their gut tells them it's just an atypical migraine, but I'm still a bit concerned.
Dr Berg has a really good video, with Dr Davis regarding this. Homemade keifer like yogurt. I can't pronounce let alone spell the probiotics that you can use. Big help with sooo much. I'm gonna start, and give some to my mom.
I had aTIA on 12/4/22. Fortunately, I knew to check the time it started so I could check when it ended. It lasted 12 minutes. After calling my son, I called for an ambulance.
So if I had all the symptoms and went to the hospital after 20 minutes of most of the symptoms going away and the doctor tells me it was most likely just a bad anxiety attack is that correct? That was in 2015 and then a month or two later I injured my back at work. I have heard that you are more receptible of getting injuries like that because your muscles can be weaker after a stroke. I also once in a while will have face drooping and if I am talking to someone I either slur or do not make sense in what I am saying they will tell me yet I think I am saying exactly what I am saying. And no I didn't go to the hospital as I was to scared to know the truth plus I had no way of getting home afterwards and it was -40 out. On my fathers side heart problems run extremely high and my moms dad died at age 59 of an aneurism. She also had a heart attack in her late 40's early 50's.
I was extremely stressed out during all these issues. I do have high B.P and B.P meds aren't really helping and I have also gone from smoking a 25 king size cigarettes about a year ago to vaping 20mg of nic. I also sweat like crazy even just sweeping a 10' by 10 room. Or taking out the trash after gathering from all the garbage cans in the house which is just 2 bathroom garbage

@helenbutler8025 Of course! You are so welcome. I'm glad to hear it ❤️
Had my first TIA Saturday then another yesterday. Fortunately, both were very brief and I suffered no ill effects...

I too have been ignoring HBP for years. Finally started taking it seriously. Brain MRI shows a lot of damage from that..
Super important info 💖
@Pure_KodiakWILD_Power ❤️
Make a video about postraumatic stress after stroke
I already have a second one but thanks be to God

I'm pretty sure I had a mini-stroke around 6 months before The Big One.. sadly, I was too sick with alcoholism to get myself to a doctor at the time.
How you feeling now
Check out her playlist she is an amazing instructor and teacher..way better than my dr visits

That's what happened to me yesterday at a theme park. Headache today so I'm hoping it's just a migraine.
@dpate555 please go get checked out. Could be a migraine, but go verify.
My head feels heavy at times, I feel like I have to force it to stay up or stable
What about compromised gut health and its direct link to the 16 bacteria involved in visceral fat, proven to be at the core of stroke?
Dr Berg has a really good video, with Dr Davis regarding this. Homemade keifer like yogurt. I can't pronounce let alone spell the probiotics that you can use.
