that guy at 10:05 having to film the biggest explosion in cinema history holding the camera with his shoulders must have been so stressed, I wouldn't have thought they'd film this without some sort of ultra expensive crane to catch the scene without any shaking or anything lol
I question the "largest explosion caught on camera". Check out the explosion in 1998's "The Mask of Zorro". When the mine exploded, it was SO BIG, it SHOOK the camera and broke windows.
The Fifth Element (1997) - The explosion in the Fhloston main hall was the largest indoor explosion ever filmed. The resulting fire almost went beyond control. It took twenty-five minutes to put out.
Bohemian Rhapsody broke two world records. 1. Becoming the highest grossing music biopic in history ($903 million) 2. Most times seeing the film in the cinema (175 times)
@Jaxson Worley it was actually set by an Australian woman named Joanne she is from Brisbane I don’t know her last name sorry. But she is a huge Queen fan and she actually received an award from Guinness World Records in 2018.
The Other side of the Wind was at one-time funded by the Iranian government, when the Shah was still the the leader of Iran, in exchange for a role as a narrator for a documentary about the “2,500th year of the Foundation of the Imperial State of Iran”
Pokemon Giratina and the sky warrior is the only animated (anime) film on the list unfortunately and there were no musicals on the list as well.(so what if it's an honourable mention that is part of the list too.)
@@magusxxx I do not think that should be an issue. Because the record was for the most directors on one film. Sorry for replying late been kind of busy with life.
Don’t forget the insane height and building to building in fast furious 7, and instead of saying the s word, Alex said sugar honey iced tea in Madagascar in a pg movie. Other world records in movies:Plane explosion from ff6, vault drag fast five, hacked cars fast furious 8, and etc.
You do realize that the sequences you mentioned involved CGI too. By your logic the biggest explosion is the one in the movie 'Armageddon', which cleaved the asteroid in two.😂😂
The record for the largest explosion ever in a movie was already broken in a movie Unknown soldier (2017) with 70.54 kg of TNT-equivalent which is almost the double of explosives used in Spectre.
5:12 quick comparison of Guardians of the Galaxy to Star wars and...... Alderaan had 2 billion people on it when destroyed, and if my maths are correct 83,871 is a lot less than 2,000,000,000, and that was just a single scene the Death Star had 1.7 million military personnel, 400,000 maintenance droids, and 250,000 civilians onboard, also a lot more so those numbers were set decades before GOTG
Can't remember if this is a world record or not, but worth looking into. The pie fight scene from "The Great Race." To my knowledge it still holds the record for Hollywood's largest pie fight scene (Over 2,000 pies I think).
I don't know if it's true, but I heard Jojo Rabbit broke the record by saying "heil Hitler" around 30 times in a scene, and making that phrase pretty stupid even without the context
Very interesting, not always a movie I want to watch though. What I learned is what you, Rebecca, really look like! 😉 Thanks for getting in front of the camera!
I too thought any record for explosions would be held by Michael Bay too. I mean I actually like the explosions in his movies. Also Orson Wells helped contribute to The Transformers Movie Unicron? 😱😱😱😱 So a legendary director helped basically define my childhood? That's how I even got to know the transformers Series in the first place not to mention the iconic "You Got The Touch" as I type I'm belting the song out right now 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Cannon Rolls by Bond... Interesting fact. In the film, the car is an Aston Martin DBS. At the time, it was a concept car (they later decided to make a normal production car) As a result, using a DBS in the rolls was out of the question. It was simply too expensive so, they used a cheaper DB9 for the rolls. This backfired however because the DB9 is regarded as one of the greatest Aston Martins and as a result, highly popular.
I guess it is weird that they counted one man space fighters blowing up as "on screen" deaths but not various planet explosions or even something like the Death Stars blowing up.
Ive listened to dozens of WatchMojo videos while playing video games and for some reason this is the first time Ive ever seen the woman behind the voice! Rebecca, if you're reading this, you look as good as you sound! :)
I guess the Fast and Furious series deserves its mention in the records being the only Movie franchise to have been running for the longest period with absolutely no sense at all
Wait, the Aston Martin actually landed wheels down?! According to Fred in "Big Hero 6: The Series," a flipped car is always supposed to land wheels up in a movie!
Request: Top 10 worst things Mordecai and Rigby have done (getting Muscle Man fired, writing lies in the book of park records, painting the garage door to make look like it’s opened) plus a few dishonorable mentions.
Actually come to think of it Transformers Movie wasn't the main reason I found transformers. I can thank Discovery Kids for that but it did set up a part which I didn't understand where Optimus was no longer there and Megatron was now Galvatron and Rodimus Prime was present. I don't even remember what season that was but it's definitely one of the much later seasons
If GotG Vol. 1 racked up the highest on-screen body count when Ronan the Accuser blew up all those Nova Corpsmen -- what about Star Wars Ep. 4. when Luke Skywalker blew at least a quarter of a million people to hell along with the Death Star?

That's a pro in action
He’s wearing a steady-cam harness (the two handles he’s holding, it goes over the shoulders and there’s a chest plate that connects to those handles.)
And also that's kerosene being exploded, which creates a giant fireball. If they used the equivalent of C4, there would be a huge shockwave.
The Blues Brothers also broke a record, the most cop cars used/crashed in a single movie.
I think Blues Brothers 2000 broke the record from the original film.
The second Blues Brother movie did break the record of the first.
... I swear to God, I believed that the explosion in Spectre was animated... XD

That explosion in “Spectre” was insane
