The rear axle ratio and engine fan makes it sound like the bus I rode in high school. It sounded exactly like this but quieter and without that loud vibration. It had a higher gear than a 6.14 ratio.
I realize these Cummins converted CEs have a low gear ratio compared to the new Cummins CEs and the CEs with the DT making it shift earlier. Most have a 5.57 or 5.29 gear ratio i think.
But whatever axle ratio my district specced on the gen ed Cummins CE’s make them sound exactly like this bus aside from the loud vibration in the back.
@@charlesrodriguez7984 the thing is I’m pretty sure it’s just the Cummins causing that since all their Cummins repowers have it 2005-2009 every single one
@@Project_29 same. I used to ride a 2006 ic CE with the DT466E engine and Allison 3000 transmission. The engine fan would always run in the morning no matter the temperature just like a 2018 ic CE I rode to school when I was in person. On both buses it would have to be above 30 degrees Fahrenheit outside for the fan to stop running.
Not as much now as far as the fan clutch. I will be posting another clip of this bus soon. The driveshaft vibration you hear is because of the Cummins Conversion

1:27 is the loudest part
Beautiful CE
Love the sound of the Cummins!
The sunset tho
Love the sound
Wow I’m not one to like Cummins but it sounds good with the vt365 powertrain
I just wish that the transmission was programmed to have the same shift points as a dt466e or the Cummins engine in the new CEs

Something is loose in the bus. The vibration from the transmission hum is vibrating a heater or something.
No the vibration is from the driveshaft
@@Project_29 I know but it’s making something loose vibrate a lot. if it’s just the driveshaft then that means it’s loose.

@@Project_29i mean rear differential vibration is making something in the bus vibrate.
What happened to posting another clip of this bus without the stupid fan
Idk. He’s not very good at replying or making videos that he says he is going to make

@@Project_29that bus is a 2016 idk why I saw an 18 on the data plate. Later that year I saw it is a 2016 Ic CE.
@@charlesrodriguez7984 nice
What Cummins model is this one?
Why did you private the videos?
