so much deception going on, they edited together footage from different days to give the appearance the lap was done on a bad day but it was done on august 7th which was perfectly dry and 20C. multimatic is canadian.
No it wasnt, on that date you mentioned the track was not reserved by Ford, there were other cars on the track which would make it impossible for them go fast.
@@blackberrythorns idk about that, UA-camr misha was at the track when Ford rented it like two months ago but because it had rained they only took footage. Anyways they are gonna do another session soon with optimal conditions.
Amazing vehicle and an amazing Team well done Ford and Multi-Matic there will always be haters looking forward to the next video where the weather conditions be more favorable.❤
This isn’t impressive for what it is the amg gt black series is also front engine, has 720 horsepower, a lot less downforce, and same weight yet the gt black series did 6:48 on also wet conditions
Really? On a wet track under poor conditions the fastest American manufacturer? They did what they said they would do AND you can be sure they will cut a few more seconds off that number in spring. Don't right off getting everything except the F1 powered AMG ONE.
@@JeffBronstein The Mercedes AMG GT Black Series has driven its time in poor conditions. Even under optimal conditions, the Ford Mustang GTD won't be as fast as the Mercedes. We don't even need to talk about the record of the AMG One. Nevertheless, I find the time of the Mustang impressive. On top of that, the car is beautiful. I'm looking forward to the time of the Corvette C8 Zora. Hopefully it will also receive road approval in Europe.
this was not a wet track. they tried to fool us. This video clip was made on several months of trying. The actual lap time was achieved on dry conditions and a sunny day. Although Mustang is too slow for the European cars.they don't have the technology yet, no matter the are thinking that they are the best.
I need to set things straight for all the ignorant haters. First many manufacturers go with a system like an outside company. It avoids some liability, union rules and contract agreements that would could slow the process (UAW) etc etc. Multimatic is like a version of a modern day KarKraft Ford had in the 1960s and early 70s. Many Ford engineers moonlight and work within Multimatic. Raj Nair is one example, he served as the head of Ford Performance and had to resign due to phony allegations during the 'Me Too' moment. He was sent to Multimatic. Not sure if he is still in charge now, but there you go. The GTD is a Ford product, get over it GM and P-Car knuckleheads.
I'm guessing they're just giving bits of what this car actually can... Ford didn't invest that much money just to make 6.578 minutes in a lap... They're trying us...

You do know that many Euro spec street legal performance cars comes with roll bars from the fectory as well right? Like E92 GTS, M4 GTS, 911 GT3s and such. Also many american cars did better lap time than same class Euro cars for less amount of money as well. They used to be land yachts but now days they offer great value for the performance unlike most high spec super expensive European cars.
@Yiannis-Tit’s the 5th fastest stock vehicle on the track and was driven in December. Try again. The only Porsche ran sub 7 seconds is the gt2 rs and gt3 rs and only the Lamborghini SVJ Aventador and modified Hurican ran sub 7. No Audis in that category. 😂😂.
It seems to me that the Ford fan bois might have had their hands firmly on it with the amount of speculation appearing on UA-cam of sub 6.40 times for this car. There are amiture UA-camrs out there aiming to go sub 7 in Porsche GT3 RS. While these amitures will have expirenced teams working with them. The drivers will be amiture. It kind of makes you scratch your head in wonder of what all the fuss is about with this car.
@JeffBronstein 825ps, active aero and more downforce than GT3 RS and still slower than 525ps GT3 RS. Do you know how much 300hp difference is? I'm not impressed at all, especially not on high-speed track like Nordschleife. Your understanding of technology and physics is very little.
It took all of this time to produce this fake footage, what a poorly made production, I stand on what I said, I don't think this car can turn a faster lap than the Camaro did some 6 or 7 years ago, I see they had to put slicks on this car, fake footage and lie to just barely edge out the Camaro, when you turn an honest lap untouched off the showroom floor, stock street Good Year tires and all, show me the time.
yes it's a fake footage , they tried to manipulate everyone. the lap time was achieved on a dry track, but still Mustang is too slow, this car can't turn

A street legal car with a rollcage😢😢😢. So it's modified but still too slow Vs European cars
You really don't want that GTD to catch a GT3RS on the back straight. It will probably blow that little GT3RS off the track when it overtakes it.

Koenigsegg couldn't even do that very impressive. 😅
When did Koenigsegg attempt it and in what car? What was the time?
The C8ZR1 is gonna wipe the GTD out though. This also makes the 7.01 lap time of the Dodge Viper ACR that much more impressive.
