    Wow, thanks for posting this. My 95 year old grandfather bought one new and ran all over the county doing custom work for the small dairy farmers in the area. Quite an expense for the time.

    I have two 40 Deere combines. Ran one to cut wheat several years ago.

      Thanks! Glad you enjoy them. Sure are a bunch of them to go yet.
      As an aside, Superbowl Sunday gave me my second highest viewership since I started this. I figured that would be a slump day. Guess people wanted something of quality to watch? Just a shame there was no halftime show here. Suppose, I could have recorded myself streaking through the snow drifts around the house. In this cold, I would have looked like one of the girls. That has to be good for ratings..... somewhere. Lol!

    Love these videos. Can you post some of the International 91 and 93 combines?

      Those I do not have. The closest there is, is the one for the 203. I'm in the market to find more. If I get those filmstrips, they will be posted.

    Is there any for the 55 95 and 105 HILOs?,

      I'm currently working on the audio for the 45. The 55 & 95 will be up after that. As for the 105, I'm not sure. There's a filmstrip that's titled for the "New Combines", but it hasn't been cracked open yet. I'm not all that familiar with Deere, so I don't know what series of combines came after these.

    How much did it cost new ??

    • @ikonseesmrno7300
      @ikonseesmrno7300  3 роки тому +1

      About $6000 - $7000 depending on the dealership & if there were any promotionals going on at the time.

      Bearing in mind an oz of gold was under fifty bucks at the time.
      My grandfather paid less for his house in 63' and it was a pretty decked out house for the time

    1:36 That’s not corn being harvested with the grain head, is it? Looks like sorghum, but it says “maize”.

      Wow, I hadn't noticed that before. When you knock out one video after the other.... ones eyes tend to glaze over. That looks like a dwarf grain sorghum. Might be a short variety of sudan/sudax variety as well, but I don't think that was very common back then. Not sure what they do with the seed. I don't eat the stuff. ;v)
