  • Hello everyone. Sometimes we can have those shrubs that get overgrown and they can take up more space than we would like to see in our space. We've decided to trim back our boxwoods to about half their size and by doing this, it's opened up more space in our garden. This space can now be utilized to add color interest to a rather dull area while we wait for our boxwoods to flush out. It was a hard decision to make since it was a severe reset, but I think in the long run it will be worth it. Since we already had the soil, and the annuals, there was no additional cost to make this upgrade.

Thanks so much. I hope it all works out and fills in. Yes, those boxwoods were out of control. It was time for sure. Have a great day.

What a beautiful plant! The whole bed looks so refreshed. I am interested to see how much the superbenas fill in the space. I planted a couple of Superbena Pink Cashmere in pots for the first time this year, and I am hoping that they put on a show.😊

I can't wait to see that too. I actually ordered the pink cashmere too and can't wait to pant that in our front planter. They look like such heathy and. sturdy plants. Should be fun to see how they do. Let me know how yours turn out. :)

That looks so pretty 🤩Good choice! I finished planting mine this past weekend along the path to my front door. I just love April and May when everything is in bloom.

Hey Heather! I'm sure yours are looking beautiful in their new spots. I love this time of year too. BTW: I saw some of the sky blue lobelia at the Carson Lowe's last week. I meant to drop you a comment, but it got away from me. Have a great day!

That looks beautiful 🌸I’m planting supertunias for the first time this year they are difficult to get in the UK. Can you share more details of how you overwinter them. Thanks again for a great video 🌺

Thanks so much. They are going to really well for you. In most cases they are an annual, however in some southern regions, they can be perennials. In my area (zone 10b) I just basically keep them watered and place them in a spot where they will get some sun. Thanks so much for stopping by and for your kind comment. :). Happy gardening and let me know how your supertunias work out for you.
