As a long-term player who just never wanted to deal with the shortsighted attitudes in raids, I really appreciate the thoroughness of this analysis and thoughtfulness of the presentation. Thank you and please let me encourage you to move forward with your plan! If I see you on LFG I will play with you anytime!
I appreciate this comment very much. I realize what we are trying to do is a big undertaking so it's very encouraging to see support from the veteran community.
Im the guy on discord last night. Im kind of shocked YT never shown any of your videos to me before. Its kind of awkward how I hear myself in most of what you said - except the fact that you did something about it while I just complain with some friends bout how the majority of raiders dont even know what makes a team sucessfull or not and/or copypaste builds based on their bench number regardless of how well it performs in real scenarios and how easy/hard is to pull off the results with that specific build. Independently of me joining to help or not (Im brazilian, my english is far from perfect which makes language alone a hypothetic problem), I wanna say thank you for what you guys are trying to do.
@@SeK114 thanks jack, I appreciate checking it out. This is something myself and others in my guild are really passionate about. your english sounded just fine to me last night, I wouldn't worry about that. I hope we get a chance to chat soon!
It's just LI/KP "problem" tbh.. It's really hard for new players to break through that barrier. It's like you need KP to join raids but you need to raid to get KP. Closed loop situation. And KP is actually alot harder than LI. Getting 50KP from Dhuum/Q1/Q2 might already be that you're at 300-500LI range, so you can imagine how long it will take to reach that point. The only way out of it is being very active in discord and basically playing the discord game. And even then it's quite hard and takes ages, there aren't that many trainings and also a big issue is timezone difference. I've gotten into a guild that's really awesome but they are doin raids way too late at night. So i just had to somehow struggle through with random training runs that arent really reliable (sometimes they happen sometimes they dont) and i just have to watch discord notifs 24/7. So to find a reliable "static" semi training group is really tough, feels like a job. Not to mention an experienced static. For expd static you need like 50-100KP atleast and 250-500LI. Til you reach that point u have to join training runs only. Anyway... it's really rough, it's definitely not that easy as teapot makes it sound like. I'm now at a 150LI point almost and i never expected that it'll still be very hard to find reliable runs, and by reliable i mean runs that happen weekly on the same time. My goal is to reach atleast a point where i can command w1-w4 for people. And i know it'll be a struggle but i won't ask for any LI/KP. A message like "Know mechanics please" will be enough. That's the only way i can think of how i can do my part in this community. I really would like to help out people like me who are just struggling to get into raiding even though they're really experienced and good players. Very often i see people with 0KP playing sooooo much better and having so much more awareness than "experienced" 250LI people. And that's very sad that those players cant really raid properly. It also feels like a new job situation. Once you get an opportunity to get into a raid you feel pressure to "present" yourself as a competent "employee" or you'll be fired. And that's why people try to pump their dps and that's when they fail on mechanics.. Anyway, very deep topic and i apologize for a wall of text.
It's something myself and my guild have identified as being an issue a while ago, and decided to start working towards the solution. I was happy to finally see him and snebs finally talking about the issue on their recent podcast. We have videos coming out that will cover everything raiding that a commander would find useful. We are a small channel but got lots of content coming up.
I wanted to learn this and even spend my whole free time in this raid mode but when I entered or joined once, I've experienced Toxicity immediately. After that experience, I didn't enter raid mode again. Seriously, there are a lot of CASUAL players who just want to go in there just to experience it or get an achievement out of it like Coalescence or even make a career out of it if they have a good experience about it. I love Fractals, I love PvP, I love WvW, and definitely I will love Raiding if its not Toxic. So yeah, I'd rather enjoy the game than experience Toxicity.

Is your group up to adding more people?
Wait, wasn't teapot wanting to make such a video? Why is this around since october and only recommended to me today?
