DIANA THE LEGEND - Awesome remix...base line to die for...Turn it up to the Max....& hit the Base...Classic Tuneee...In fact Miss Ross made many classic songs which have been remixed countless of times..she was Motown’s “ LADY SINGS THE BLUES..” she didn’t have the best voice when she was in The Supremes but she had Class and tenacity and knew that The Supremes were the ultimate female leading artists for MOTOWN . I think his edits are tasteful, but why can't he turn his attention to tracks that maybe need an edit? "Upside Down" is a classic, editing it for four-to-the-floor friendliness is fine if something is being added, but I just don't hear it here. Clearly a talented bloke, but I don't believe he's digging deep enough with his choices, I saw him DJ recently and it was a hit parade of well known disco record edits. I think he could learn a lot from Harvey Basset...
I agree with you. However, don't you think that he's regenerating classics? My kids are 22, 18 and 16, and probably would never want to hear the 'original'. And I don't tend to listen to the classics, because I forget. But because he does such brilliant edits, everyone's a winner? xx
His edits are great, he's super-talented and I agree everyone's a winner, but when I saw him live it was far too much of a disco hit parade. Most disco edits are terrible (imo), and LNTG does them really well, however his selection of tracks to edit are odd. Surely your kids would dance to Geraldine Hunt's "Can't fake the feeling", even in 2017? x
Aidan Kelly could be more like a gateway to this culture for people who aren't yet clued in. Imagine someone clicking on edits like this one then landing on something more obscure. This could be what it takes to send someone down the rabbit hole.
