Wonderful song by Hazrat Inayat Khan. We all should know about his remarkable life published from Hazrat Nizamuddin Trust. Thanks to my dear Austrian artist friend Michael Hedwig for this post on Christmas.

...il primo nemico che si incontra è il proprio ego. Cosa fa l’ego? È molto malizioso. Quando diciamo di volerlo combattere, egli dice: -Sono te stesso. Vuoi combattere me? - E quando conduce al fallimento è abbastanza inteligente da dare la colpa a qualcun altro...😊🙏🏼

Before you judge my actions, Lord, I pray, you will forgive.
Before my heart has broken, will you help my soul to live?

Before my eyes are covered, will you let me see your face?
Before my feet are tired, may I reach your dwelling-plaæ?

Before I wake from slumber, you will watch rne, Lord, I hold.
Before I throw my mantle, will you take me in your fold?

Before my work is over, you, my Lord, will right the wrong.
Before you play your music, will you let me sing my song?

Gamaka from the Posthumous Nirtan by Hazrat Inayat Khan.
