Live in Cedar and fish Minersville and Panguitch lake often. Minersville is flys and lures only, with a one fish over 22" limit. Pretty much a catch and release only lake. The fish get large because a bunch of Power bait dunkers, aren't killing them all. Would ban that crap if I could! 😖

Yes I’m catch and release only and hate bait fishing lol

Minersville isn’t good like this anymore the water levels aren’t the same and there not stocking it as much. Lightning trout are stocked at a lot of CA lakes over the winter months during our trout season.

What up bro, new scriber for awhile, I follow your channel bc I fished everywhere in the Sierras for 35 years, you take me back thx, retired in north Idaho now, maybe those trout in Utah are cross bred? Like the old days in the Sierra remember the alpers trout they were fighting MF lol, unfortunately they stopped the alpers deal up there years ago, do you ever fish offshore Cali? The tuna , yellow tail, do do's the bite out there is killer right now, lots of blue fin, yellow fin staying offshore Cali right now, anyway enjoy your channel nothing better then the HOOK UP and the Sierras, 👍🎣🎣

Thank you so much for enjoying my videos 🙏 I usually stick to inshore fishing but the tuna is tempting. Yeah I remember when the Sierra got the Alpers those were good ole days for sure . Do you do any fishing in Idaho ? I love Idaho it’s definitely a state I would move to.

@@GoldenStateFishing I fish the Clearwater river for steelhead every season, got 3 this year, 17lbser , also the salmon runs up here are amazing, it blew my mind the first time I caught a 15+ lb steelhead & salmon in a river , just stared at it for awhile after landing it, so dam big for a river fish, yes Idaho is a great place, couldn't handle the B's in Cali anymore, I'm definitely going to travel to beaver for some of the little hogie trout, take care my friend, I'll be hitting you up again, 👍

The drought has killed the lake off! The State Division of Wildlife Resources removed the slot limit and let people keep everything before the water levels killed the fish.
    Unfortunately, the fishing sucks now!
It will be a many years after the drought ends before the fishing improves. What a shame!

Something fishy going on here. That lake has been at 5% capacity or less for a while now. Was this filmed a year ago? If that's the case it would make sense, but there is very little water in this lake right now and has been for some time. I don't really care if the video is a year old, but people should know the lake is all but non-existent at this point.
