Love the video! Just wondering how you think being an (american) study abroad student would compare to being full-time? Would it be harder to make friends/integrate/get established? Any other differences (or similarities)? Thanks :)
Hello!! So I’m a full time student at Glasgow but my sister studied abroad here; I know that for my sister, she made rly amazing friends, but it was hard for her to part with them by the end. All of her friends were American vs for me, most of my friends are Scottish. So I think that you’ll have more of a chance to rly experience the culture here if you are a full time student. I found it very easy to make friends/get established here once I started joining clubs and sports, but with anything, it can be hard/intimidating at first (but I think it’ll be like that for anyone first coming to uni). I think, like with anything, you’ll find your people anywhere you go, and I honestly rly love my friends here!!

Congrats on your acceptance!!! My sister studied abroad in at the University of Glasgow (only for one semester) and when I visited her, I fell in love with the school. I really was not expecting to apply, let alone get in or go to it. I applied to a LOT of American universities and only applied to schools in the UK the day the UCAS application was due. After going through all my options, I realized that going here would actually be cheaper than most of the schools I got into in America. I also really love to travel and explore different places and am very grateful I had the opportunity to come here. I hope this was a tad helpful; let me know if you have any other questions or if you end up going!!
@@helialiaghat66 Hello! As far as I know I think the latest you can apply is January 25th, as this is the UCAS deadline. Maybe you can find another platform to apply to the University on- Commonapp for example. I’m sorry if this wasn’t helpful and I wish you luck with your applications!!
I’m an American and I applied yesterday!!! I worked at a sleepaway camp last summer and one of my friends I met there goes to Glasgow and told me all about it
