This is so true... I want this to work with every fiber of my being, but any disrespect at this point, small or big, I shut off and choose to protect me, but in doing so, it's causing more distance, problems and space in the relationship....

Spot on Ali! A good friend of mine, an aries, is since 8 years married with a narcist. He is totally unhappy but pretends like he is happy. He refuses to divorce her also cuz of his religion.
My Aries now ex-friend (their choice), is in a similar boat, also around 8 years, except they said they didn’t want to lose their house or kid. If anyone ever hears themselves say the words ‘lose my kid’, they really need to start looking closely at everyone involved. No one should take your kid away from you unless you neglect or mistreat them. Splitting up with a child’s parent should not automatically lead to losing your kid. There’s something very wrong there. I said similar. I would still like their friendship, but they didn’t seem to like my carefully and gently considered perspective on things 😞

@@stephanieorme2950this is it! Even being kind and gentle about things, it’s too confrontational if they can’t cope with what they need to do in order to improve their situations. My friend told me it was exactly what they needed to hear and it made perfect sense, they just couldn’t do it. As Ali said, my friend even said “I’ve made my bed, now I have to lie in it.”
I spoke solely as a friend with no ulterior motives, my friend gravitated towards me because I had been through a very similar situation and escaped. My friend kept telling me how brave I was. It could be bravery, but all I know is I would quite likely not still be here if I had stayed.. I want to be happy in life, I’m not concerned with society’s views or the material side of things. I gave up everything (excluding access to my kid) and feel a lot better off for it 🙏💕

During your reading I understood what you were explaining, I’m trying to start my own business ideas (again), and I know I’m not the best at what I want to do but deep down I know that I can do it. I just need to stay focused, definitely haha. But for most of my working life I’ve worked hard, always done my best and yet I have seemed to get dismissed because of someone else’s opinion of me. Many times this has happened so now I’m like, I’ve had enough of this so I’m going to try to do it myself and see what happens. After all I’ll only have myself to blame 😅
