Weren't there accusations of Kenney being a bit too close to the lead investigator? Almost living in her pocket, calling dozens of times to discuss the investigation, being "super helpful" and more? If I was Hannah's lawyer I'd totally go after Hancock. Perhaps she wanted to be "helpful" to him in return?

I do believe morrissey only saw the picture, knew these bullets never left AZ, and thought because of the relationship/friendship with Theil Reed was trying to muddy the water and was not relevant. That said, she should have turned it over anyway. I do appreciate that KM had the hearing public so that the investigators Handcock and Poppel will have to be treated for misconduct.

Former US Army here - In the Army, a challenge coin is something you earn as a part of Unit, it was used as a proof that you belong to a certain unit (ie a challenge) Each unit have them and say if someone doubt (or challenge) you were in the Ranger, then you produce a Ranger Coin to answer that question.
There another aspect of challenge coin, we bet on them, usually something stupid like having a drinking contest. Say if you beat a Green Beret, you got his coin, a la you bet your honor with the unit you were on.

Both LEOs and prosecutors appear to have effed up and then tried to cover up. Why? (Bias or incompetence or corruption?) Whatever the cause, their conduct perverted the course of justice. Both the armorer and the actor deserved to stand trial and to be judged by a jury who saw ALL the evidence. That did not happen.
I agree that Mr. Bowles' argument of prosecutorial misconduct is probably not enough to set aside the verdict for Hannah G. Reed. However, it might be enough to get her a new trial. But if the state proceeds with a new trial, who would it appoint as its THIRD lead prosecutor? The last two were biased and they buried evidence.
Although casting shade at Ms. Morrissey is theatrical, Mr. Bowles should also question the actions of law enforcement. They failed to secure the crime scene and prevent evidence tampering / destruction by Seth Kenny and Sarah Zachary. These two were then given plea deals by the prosecution, which suddenly lost interest in identifying who brought live ammo to the set. IMO, the supplier of the ammo seems just as culpable as an armorer who failed to check the gun and an actor who pulled the trigger.
Mr. Bowles seems inept. He should step down so a better lawyer can represent Ms. Reed in her appeals and/or a new trial.

When I was attending UND to be a Legal Assistant, we had Research and Writing every semester, and it was intensive. I once argued with a fellow student when she wanted to cite Opera Winfrey in a document. Come on, what law school did she graduate from? I loved the course, 2 years of intensive legal education that left me with the degree, got a 4.0 but could not find employment. Who wanted to hire a 50 year old disabled cop who needed a cane to walk and had problems accessing lower drawers on file cabinets because of the steel rods in my spine. Finely got a job as an office manager for a chain of pretzel stores.

Hang on Runkle with all due respect to you being adjunct professor or as we call them over here a T.A. Perhaps the defense guy didn't mention during sentencing or put into an appeal the information Morrisy disclosed on April 8th - because he didn't have time to verify, you'd probably go off on the guy if he had used it in either circumstance, you'd be calling it unverified information /evidence and a hail mary gambit. As to blaming corporal Russian lips for none disclosure - the prosecutor out ranks even a guppy lipped corporal, it would be a bit like your tenured professor blaming you for f___ups, the buck is supposed to land on the desk of the most senior officer and I'm pretty sure even a Special Prosecutor gets a ADA badge.
