Asking a question that I’m sure you ask yourself daily…Why is your.content not more popular? Production values are 2nd to none. I’m even feeling the soundtrack! Keep it up (from an ex ATLien).
Every time I watch one of your videos I am glad that you are one of the very first people to get my crosses. Not many can do them the justice that you do. I am forever indebted to you for your kindness and generosity is above reproach.
Great storytelling. Thanks for reminding me of all the work I've still got left to do on all my plants before they are in their final homes this year :-) The question is, did the lone Tovarii seed make it?
I saw on another channel you said balanced npk is what you like? Any other sneaky tips?? this is so helpful thanks. AMAZING channel I cant wait to watch em all. I went nuts for peppers in peru a long time ago and just got my first aji amarillo last year to harvest. Charapita, rocoto, grenada and some more this year.
Been watching this video a bunch lately , getting close to crunch time ❤️ Awesome video man , when you transplant your seedlings to the 3.5 inch cells are you using the mycorrhizae at all ?
Awesome thank you! The compost I pot up into already has a healthy fungal and bacterial population, so I prefer to stick with those species rather than bagged inoculant. When I plant out into final containers, it’s the same situation and then I start hitting with IMO. So in essence, I opt for the indigenous fungal and bacterial life already present in my compost and then my inputs.
Thank you so much for this can't wait to use some of these techniques this coming season! are you using 10 gallon grow bags? Also what do you call that type of drip hose that you have in the grow bags? I've been trying to find an irrigation system that works well with grow bags and yours seems exactly what I was picturing my mind. Where did you get your system from?
The bags I planted into at the end are #15 gallon smarties. The drip rings I fabricated myself out of a combination of solid 1/4 inch and drip 1/4 inch with T’s. I should do a video on those!
Thank you so much for the info! I feel like rings like that are far better than the micro sprayers. Definitely looking forward to seeing a video on your system if you are able to make it! @@PepperGuru
Blissful! Please tell what kind of rooter cubes you are using there? Am I correct in thinking the rooter cubes make life as easy as possible for the wild ones and that’s why the wild ones get started in those versus the 3 part mix that the domesticated peppers get started in? Regarding the 3 part mix…is equal parts of each by volume? Many thanks in advance!!
Precisely. Rooter plugs provide the perfect oxygen to moisture exchange, where as mediums can often dry out or hold too much moisture. As for the starter mix I blend here in this video, I shoot for around 50-70 percent organic matter and then 20-30 percent aerators. I just eye ball it most of the time.
is that 100% compost in your fabric pots? I've noted that a few growers in the U.K. are using mostly compost and getting huge plants. I've been told not to use more than 10% for best drainage. I'd rather have bigger plants! Your videos are a pleasure to watch and a perfect manual, great job!
@@PepperGuru that is a very important distinction. Not all compost is completely broken down into humus. Ahem...like mine! Still learning how to get that in my context. Thanks for clarification.
@@PepperGuru how does one determine if it's "proper" or not? I am trying mushroom compost from a local nursery this year and it looks much like what you're using here.
@@danblakeman4181 Humus is dark, organic material that forms soil when plant and animal matter decays. When plants drop leaves, twigs, and other material to the ground, it piles up. This material is called leaf litter or humus or soil. Try to mimic nature and create a proper compost.
The captions should be burned into the video at those time stamps. I list them out along with possible alternatives you could use instead. Give it another spin and see if you catch them all!
Unbelievable. This will be my go to for next Winter. Amazing video, Rich!
Thanks dude! Next episode late fall!
Still unreal.

100% Yes sir. A proper humus compost should drain very well.

@@lautenmacher exactly. Not all composts are created equal and therefore some growers perception of “compost” is severely limited.

the guru is giving us the secret sauce! thank oh wise one! ha
🤣
Can anyone watch the whole video and then not have an urge to grow some Capsicum?
Thanks so much for the kind words!
I’m sorry if this is a stupid question…
Do you make your own humus compost or can I buy it?
Everything’s best homemade, but the compost you see in this video was purchased locally.
how many liters of planterbag do you use?
I use all sizes from #15 gallons all the way up to 200 gallons, but most of these are in #15 gallon smarties.
What are the names of what he mixed?
