as somebody who is familiar with real life tanks, i want to say you utterly NAILED the proportions on your model, the main turret is the right size for such a large armament, there is enough space for the crews in the hull to operate the weaponry, and there is even enough space for the engine. the effort put into making this tank look so good is astounding, and the fact it's FREE. just wanted to say, you are fantastic at this and i will be closely following your other projects.
He managed to get at least part of his face in the video too - perhaps worth reaching out to collaborate on how to prevent such mistakes on both your channels going forward? A problem shared and all that!
I guess by now you have already gotten the tip multiple times but if you soak the piece in hot water before peeling the supports it's even more satisfying to remove them...
Yes I have heard and this definitely helps! I also learned giving the model a quick hit with a blow dryer helps a bunch too. 🙂 Thanks for taking a moment to comment on the video!
Really interesting! Throughout the painting I kept thinking 'Meh'! But once it was finished and mixed in with the rest I found myself thinking 'WOW'!! The colour scheme works very well and ties in all 'The Rats' in to one cohesive, recognisable force 👏👏👏👏 I'd be careful of too much red though, suggests the taint of Chaos 😉😊 Cheers!
With the airbrush bubbling you may need to tighten the nozzle tip up a bit more. Ive had this a few times but once i tighten the tip after cleaning it stops. Great vid btw and i may have to download some of the models
Yeah! Actually from that point on i realized it was the inner nozel piece that comes loose after cleaning and really needs to be snuggled up in there or that happens. 😁 Thank you for watching too, hopefully you get yourself a mighty baneblade!
Daaaaaaaannnnngggg!!! Hahahaha, I have the same model (among the other ones that Nate makes) and I am going to use it for an Auxilia idea I have. Kinfolk, it is so cool to see you print it out and then paint it! You have definitely shown me that a tank is totally doable with a smaller printer. Man, you also gave me courage to make my own dark wash with the black paints I have. 🫡🤘🏾
Be it Behemoth or Mastodon, I'm sure it would be equally suited to taking on the Arch Enemy before they carry out their plan to butcher babies. Great video! Have had my eye on Nate's amazing vehicles for a while - you've made this one look less daunting now. Have you tried popping the supports off while the prints are submerged in hot(near boiling) water? I've found it really helps prevent pitting. Looking forward to watching the rest of your content. Btw if you're interested in Guard lore, I've narrated the fiction from Codex Imperial Guard 3rd edition & Codex Armageddon on my channel/Oldex podcast.
Thank you so much for the kind words! :) I have heard of the boiling water technique and need to try it sometime. I will for sure check out that guard lore, I enjoy listening to stuff while i paint and make models so i am looking forward to it. Thank you so much for your support!
Hi! Just found your video. Thanks for taking us thru the process, I liked the result. Hope you do not mind a few curious questions: 8:05 - how much time did you spend on gap filling / sanding? Printing marks on the right side of the model look stronger than on the left. Did you feel this was an issue with the end result? - what was the overall print cost in your opinion?
If I'm being honest not too long, it was my very first time using greenstuff and I wasnt too pleased with the results. If i could go back with the knowledge i have now i would have done it differently. As for how long it probably took my no more than an hour. the cost i want to say roughly $30 to $45. It might be even cheaper cause i remember the top portions on my chitubox program saying it would be $1.50.
"Extremely protective of their IP" Idk man, they whore 40k out to sleazy mobile game devs to an outrageous degree... That said, great video! I'm entering the realm of 3d printing miniatures myself for a Krieg army so this was a fun watch!
I just picked up my first 3d printer, do you have any tips for the initial setup? I have an elegoo saturn 3 ultra. Any resources or mysterious tricks? :)@@boxnaught7428
@@Magdann i dont use it for gluing, as i said in the video i used it to fill gaps for my smaller magnets🙂. i may have forgotten to mention i did use super glue after placing the magnets in the green stuff.
When it's cheaper to buy a 3D printer than the official model, you know GW charges too much. And the Baneblade isn't even like other big centerpiece models, where GW could plead that they're just too detailed to cost anything less than $170. It's a tank. You're not rendering faces or embossed filigree here. Anyway, good paint job.
Hey, it's here! Thanks for giving my tank a shot - the video came out wonderfully.
Thank you so much for allowing it to be on the channel! 😁 I am so happy to have worked on it!
Your models are s tier. I got your broadsword stl and your russ one, I will make the demolisher russ when I get bold enough.
Really nicely done.

I was so happy to run across your STLs. Among the best.
I printed this tank in FDM(with some additional cuts in blender for support free printing) it looked amazing
Love the sheer amount of dakka on this tank. Very nice!

I just bought almost all this stuff last week. Awesome models!
A great video! Had a fun time watching, now I'm probably printing that beast myself😃
So glad you enjoyed it! 😁 I hope your printing and painting goes great!
Awesome work bro. Can't wait to see the next project.
Thank you! 😁 Can't wait to bring more!

THE GREAT HORNED ONE IS PLEASED
It is amazing looking. Good work.
Thank you 😁
great work!
Thank you! 🙂 I plan to go over the model one more time to polish it up. It felt kind of like a rushed paint job.
Nice job!
so cool !! i'm new to the 3d printing world, what is the model of your printer ?
The one i used for that build was the elegoo mars, I currently use the photon mono x2 and would suggest looking into that one instead 😁
Just found you channel. You have a great style to your videos.
Thank you so much! 😁 Cant wait to bring you more!
So sick dude!
Thanks man 😁
Very cool

Do you do requests for reviews of models/sets?
Sure! Please email me at boxnaught@gmail.com
The Bubbles is Most likley a lose nuzzle tighten it up again and it can go better
Nice model. Shame that so many layer lines are still visible.
Awesome! how much does it weigh? some of them bits look chonkey!
I don't have a scale but it feels like its around 5 pounds.
What kind of super glue do you use? (Nice vid btw)
Thank you 🙂, also i think for this video it was Elmers. But i prefer Superlock and or Gorilla glue.

gooodjob
this is awesome.. compared to the forgeworld garbage ive received practically divine and enraging

This dude is hot
What was the sticky thing blue and yellow?
That is called greenstuff! Its an epoxy used miniature modeling.
@@boxnaught7428 does it replace glue to stick things like you did?
@@Magdann Generally it doesn't - if using it to fill gaps or the like, I'd still use some glue to keep that join strong.

Sorry for being that guy. Can you share the supports? I keep getting fails with the treds. I’m doing something wrong but don’t know what.

I agree with you fully! I completely forgot to mention in the video how much this thing cost in resin and the total was around $55.
The Thing IS the baneblade kit is basicly 7 different tanks they could split the Sets and make them cost Like 50€ or so that way
Looks more like Orks than Guard.
