The thing that still gets me is how Rebecca Black didn't particularly care for Friday or write it if I recall correctly, her manager pushed her to release it despite some slight hesitance on her part, then she's the one who gets all the death threats and hate while the label got to wash their hands of her and act like none of it was their fault when it had to pass by their strict criteria multiple times over to get approval and they clearly saw very little wrong with it but somehow saw less wrong with allowing Rebecca to take the fall for it and only maybe briefly addressing how they weren't okay with people threatening her yet moved on so quick to exploit other kids who ended up being younger than her though to this day are much less notorious.
The sad thing is that Rebecca Black is actually a really good singer if you look past Friday, and she seems like a sweet girl; she definitely didn't deserve all the flack she caught.
