Lovely models and as always, an engaging, professional presentation. Excellent!
Accurascale have gone RTR finescale. They are setting the gold standard.
YES YES YES, I'm so glad to see some transpennine coaches available on the market again at long last, I've been after some for so long and can finally make a prototypical rake of these, with class 45 and 47 at the front. What a great announcement though, fills such a big void in the market and a much needed one to be filled. Great video as ever gents, keep up the great work
James
Fantastic!! I need to add a rake of these to the layout!
I love accurascale never release anything to early , they always have something to show for their announcements
Something they learned in the development of the A class. What was initially a model 1 year away turned out to be 3 years away. Hence after consulting there community. Accurascale will only announce something when at least an un decorated sample is visible
Love the seating with those typical winged headrests. The number of times I have banged my head on them! Hopefully a TSOT will be later Have just placed an order for them and if you buy two or more you get a discount.
These look the best OO scale coaches ever made! I hope other coaches in that scale can be brought up to the same standard and have the same features
Accurascale offer fair value for money at £75 for three 4 wheel trucks or two bogie trucks. £51 for these carriages seems fair also given the level of detail.
Ohhhhh, I need to do some more overtime. I would dearly like some NSE ones to go behind a revised NSE 47/7. They look Perfect. 👍
A very astute choice, looks excellent and pricing is decent. Can we expect some BR MK2Cs to follow and was that a very subtle hint that a class 50 is to haul over the Waterloo to Exeter route?!
Some superb detailing . Absolutely lovely
If you stick the magnet under a tunnel the lights will come on when it goes under
Presumably, the lights are then turned off on the next circuit!
I think Richard could be right - a game-changer. They certainly should be. After these hit the shops, all future passenger stock should have touching gangways; there's no excuse. It's taken a wee while(nearly 100 years) and kind of funny that it's one of the "smaller" manufacturers that got there first. Hopefully, one of the Accurascale designer team will become very, very rich. Makes you wonder though; where were Hornby, Bachmann, Dapol etc?
The close coupling looks very good.
It’s about time British models had the kKK couplers on. As it’s been available from Marklin and Roco for years!!
They do look good thanks for the video.
Very nice and highly detailed models!
Now if there's a perfect time to cancel house moving and layout dismantling it would have to be now! Perfect timing 😪
Love that coupling system, really clever. Hopefully they branch out and use the same system on other coaches. Either that or other manufacturers get hold of them and reverse engineer it. Would love this on some Mk1’s.
Great presentation. I like them.
I love those passenger Trains.Cheers from over seas UNITED STATES. HAPPY RAILROADING
I look forward to the triple Pack NIR livery coaches being released, a taste of home from Belfast to go with my 201 NIR Loco.
Hoping they can do a model range of Sir Nigel Gresley's K4 most notably The Great Marquess
Great idea, but how dod they prevent the carriage lights turning off and on every time they pass the magnetic effect caused by an electric motor in another locomotive or DMU ? as I have this problem with my magnetic operated latching reed switched carriage lighting turning off or on every time they pass a stationary or moving locomotive or emu.
The carriages look great, just wondering what's the best livery to paint them. C&C?
Wonder if they will make a BR version of the BFK with a generator?
Thankyou for the video
Just found this thread. I assume the "bent" B4 bogies will be rectified on the production model. My Lima Mk2Bs at least have straight bogie sideframes.
Per the release, they were popped out of the moulding too early for the launch. The bowing is purely cosmetic, and will of course be rectified. Next stage is the decorated / painted samples.
I hope they do them in WCRC livery
Nice - I hope Bachmann watch this and revalue their Porthole and Thompson stock accordingly.
I’m hoping for some GWR Toplights
I’ll second that suggestion.
Is it me or others would love them in that Grey I think as they are they look Awesome thanks Great Vlog
Is it Gladstone from the Oh Mr Porter film🤞😀
Next trains gone!
Meanwhile, I’m still waiting for the 91’s that Hornby and Cavalax announced…
Along with these please Accurascale do the entire Mk2/Mk3 Coaches range to finally get some proper accuracy and detail.
Ireland had mark 3s too so it is likely, however another brand Murphy models is going to be producing mark 3s next year in fairly good detail. However they will be Irish liveries only
Very nice coaches. Just too modern for my layout. (Still in the planning stages.) Mike, was that a Hornby Magnet you were holding in your hand secretly? Or have Accurascale chosen the same colour for theirs? Martin. (Thailand)
Busted, it was a Hornby one!
Well if they have made the bogies to the correct width for the Irish 5ft 3in gauge ! Where is the 5ft 3in gauge track and wheelsets to match ????
21mm track is available, if you want to make it yourself :) At least the bogies will happily take 21mm wheel sets :)
Extra bean's guys extra bean's lol
Look out Bachmann and Hornby, they is a-comming!!!
Missed a trick with no DBSOs :(
Nice to see they haven’t included those horribly awkward couplings with integral electrics
Or could it be the TITFIELD THUNDERBOLT , from film of the same name.
Rapido have the exclusivity on that.
Network rail DBSO next please, k, thanks, bye 👋
The bogies look banana shaped.hopefully the finished ones will be straight.
Pity the BR ones arent available in packs either say 160-170 for 3.
C😎😎l 😉🚂🚂🚂
Ha! We've had touching gangways for years in N Gauge.
I wonder if it would be profitable to offer a budget version without the fitted lighting.
Detailed yes but expensive at £59.95 especially if you want to form 5 car or full representation of full rake in Br Days.
Not remotely compared to other Mark 2 coaches, especially with full lighting
You get a 10% discount if you order 2 or more so that is, about £54 a coach. That compares very favorably with other manufactures offerings at this level of specification. You can get cheaper coaches but not at this spec. You can also get similar quality coaches but not at this low a price.
@@Ste1952 Good point it's extremely detailed and is for serious punters indeed
It's to be hoped they sort out the curved bogie frames before production - they're supposed to be straight!!
They look nice, I wish there was no coach lighting though, just another gimmick.
Just because you CAN switch the lights on, doesn't mean you have to! :)
@@martyndeyoung8207 I'm aware of that thanks. Just an unnecessary expense in my opinion. Paying for something I will never use.
@@thebritfarmer they are still cheaper that unlit versions from others
@@Ste1952 I agree they be cheaper still if not lit though.
@@thebritfarmer for the sake of maybe £2 saving? I’d rather RTR lighrs.
