I wish I lived near you to take lessons. I'm near Boston, and I had lessons with Gabe Hirshfeld, and tonight I have a lesson with BB Bowness. You are definitely my style. 😊
Mr. Moore , I want to take the time to say THANK YOU for your videos! They are FANTASTIC, and so very helpful! I have saved everyone I have found. You have proven to me to be THE BEST PERSON to help me in my quest to learn to PLAY this Epiphone 5 string rather than just play WITH it. That having been said, I do have one hurdle to overcome that most do not.i am missing my little finger on my left hand, however I do NOT intend to let that stop me. Again thank you SO VERY MUCH for your videos!!
Love this tune. Now learning the last half, and it's a bit more difficult than the first half, but I can't wait to get the hang of it. Love your playing, and your lessons!
Thanks for the tablature as well, man. It took me a few days to get the hang of it (coming from a decade or reading guitar tabs). Started on banjo last year, you've been very helpful
Brilliant as usual John! I particularly like the way to you accentuate those subtly unique features of Earl's style during slower demos. Any chance you would consider covering other picking styles like Reno/Adcock/Keith sometime?
@@JohnMooreVlogs looking forward to it! Earl is always a classic, but there is a tragic shortage of lessons on some of the other greats (particularly Adcock 😞)
Yes! “Goin down that road, feelin bad”

Thanks! I'll probably do some of their stuff in the future.

what is your banjo tuned to ?
Appreciate the tab John! Are the quarter notes further apart and the eighth notes closer together?
Indeed they are.
Slow it down a little it will sound better
Good advice mate🧉
