For those who don't know, The Question is like Batman, except with an actual reporters salary (so not rich) and more zen, and violent. He tends to be more esoteric as well as more brutal sometimes, and comes from a city that's arguably worse than Gotham. He's also the best one in the league at finding information and seeing connections that others can not see, which unfortunately makes him a bit of a conspiracy nut too. Rorsach is basically the same but less chill.
The line above my comment is from Justice League Unlimited. Second season where there is one big conspiracy and The Question is the main person trying to get to the bottom of it.
Rorschach is also based on the Question, and was basically a satire of him. Steve Ditko created the Question to be a bit of a mouthpiece for his views on objectivism and moral absolutism, and therefore Alan Moore wrote Rorschach to reflect his idea on what such a person would be like in real life: that is to say, an unwashed conspiracy theorist and political extremist who has taken The Neverending Battle to the point of neglecting his livelihood and his sanity and picked up a lot of unsavory views in the process.
Wow one of your very best videos dude! Ace Vane rocks! I also was very happy to see Dwayne Johnson in there! Your comedy is so wild! I hope you do indeed reach one million subscribers someday! You deserve it! Keep on doing the cool stuff and I’m sure you’ll go far!
Tangential, but that reminds me of a bit in The Bear and the Dragon by Tom Clancy where the CIA has a spy in the Chinese government who inserts a virus into Chinese computers so he can communicate with his handlers back in the USA. The virus uses the Internet and a recipe sharing website as a front to exchange coded messages with the CIA.
It really sucks that he was killed off and replaced almost immediately after that. I don't hate the current one (she's actually pretty solid), I'm just upset that Gail Simone introduced a character that embodied everything great about Rorschach only for DC to just turn around and get rid of him.
@@lukeskywalker987 "Everything great about Rorschach" Umm, The Question predates Rorschach dude. In fact, Rorschach is a PARODY of The Question. The Question was created to spread Steve Ditko's Randian ideals, which Alan Moore despised, and he made Rorschach as a despicable, psychotic version. The point being, there is nothing great about Rorschach, he's a fascist psychopath. Alan Moore never wanted anyone to idealize ANYTHING about Rorschach.
@@northwindkeyWhich is absolutely hilarious if you look at the types Moore aligns himself with, who are all the those very same psychopathic fascists. He doesn't like Randian ideals because he's a Commie dirtbag himself. Which makes it only sweeter that a character he designed to be hated is actually liked better than himself. And no, Rorschach isn't a Fascist. There's nothing he says or even does that is Fascist in the slightest and neither has Moore said he was. He's an Extremist Libertarian at best.
@@gameuniverse5973 Are you implying there ARE any other versions of Question? That was a rhetorical Question. I, too have Question powers. How did I get these? I don't know. I'm done with my Questions.
That's also a bit layered. It takes solid detective skills to ask good questions. My questions tend to be things like "how much food can I eat to feel mildly disappointed in myself, but not get sick?" That sort of question probably won't solve any important mysteries (unless my snack eating is more important than I expected).
@@calebowens693unironically, a massive part of being a good student and a good scientist is the ability to ask questions. You can't answer something without a question. Hence why every experiment starts with one.
When Rorschach entered, I was expecting Superman to say "Hey, he kind of looks like the last guy." (With the Question being the inspiration for Rorschach and all.) Also, "Y'all just facist" was amazing.
"What can you do?" "I search these ignorant and unlawful streets full of wasted potential and vermin in search of the answer." "The answer....?" "The answer to my question."
I was very curious with the direction you were gonna go with the question as AceVane has already hit peak comedy with him. To say that you guys did not dissapoint one bit would be an understatement.
3:00 for those that didn't know Watchmen was originally going to use established DC characters, but had to to change it at the last minute. Rorschach was originally going to be The Question.
Rorschach is also a deliberate parody version of The Question. Moore was using Watchmen in part to criticize Steve Ditko's quasi-fascistic Randian beliefs.
@@tdvwest9514That’s what happens when you make a compelling protagonist who actually does something. Rorschach moves the entire plot, and his moral character is nigh impeachable; while ozymandius is out here planning to kill millions via squid

It's like there's this guy whose whole gimmick is that he has the most powerful handgun in his fictional verse but he'd be deadlier if he had proper firearm training (including maintenance), but he has nothing on this other guy who has a gun that's almost just as strong but more reliable and this same guy has complete military training.🤓
Omg... Wait... The genius:
Batman: Did you not hear the question?
Question: Didn't you just say my name.
I missed that in all my many rewatches of this
That Roschach interview went WAY smoother than I thought it would.
Knowing good old Ink Blot Face, his resume was probably the severed hands of each Legion of Doom member in a paper bag.
@@NobodyMan0"They had stolen the lives of millions while the supposed heroes sat in their ivory tower. Orphaned children running around the streets like rats, invisible to their "saviors". So I decided to give the Justice League a hand. The hands of everyone in the Legion of Doom."
"conspiracy, singular"
@@misterbadguy7325 Then Zack Snyder said "nuts to that" and movie Rorschach was born...
"The plastic tubes at the end of shoelaces are called aglets. Their purpose is sinister."

The collab I never knew I needed! AceVane and Solid JJ Is a W 😂
I'm glad somebody noticed
Definitely need more of these voice collabs bruh I was both shocked and humored 🤣
Thought they were either the same mf just with different UA-cam accounts or they were each others ops. Never thought they’d collab lol
A ambitious cross over it is
Wow one of your very best videos dude! Ace Vane rocks! I also was very happy to see Dwayne Johnson in there! Your comedy is so wild! I hope you do indeed reach one million subscribers someday! You deserve it! Keep on doing the cool stuff and I’m sure you’ll go far!
A SOLID JJ and an ACE VANE collab is what the world needed
"Probably sharing recipes or something"😂 Peak solid jj comedy
And maybe they can throw down in a JL cooking class.😂😂😂
Batman is a menace 😂😂
Batman gonna be kick out of the justice league again
Tangential, but that reminds me of a bit in The Bear and the Dragon by Tom Clancy where the CIA has a spy in the Chinese government who inserts a virus into Chinese computers so he can communicate with his handlers back in the USA. The virus uses the Internet and a recipe sharing website as a front to exchange coded messages with the CIA.
Basedman.
“I also know who killed Epstein!”
“Whoa, what-“
“Me”
The timing and awkward silence afterwards was genuinely so funny.
I love how he said he was his cellmate, implying he was also on his island
That shameless plug-in at the end with the Justice League still reacting to it was the icing on the cake 👌
I smiled so hard as soon as I saw that faceless detective. Really hope Solid JJ and AceVane collab together more
Same
FINALLY IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS CROSSOVER
Awesome Collab with Ace and hopefully there will be more availability of voice actresses for you in the near future Solid JJ👍🏿
This is one of the most unexpected but welcomed collabs ever.
Hell yah
I freaking love ace vane. Glad y’all worked together❤
Happy to see the Question finally getting some well deserved attention. He was the best part of JLU!!!
It really sucks that he was killed off and replaced almost immediately after that. I don't hate the current one (she's actually pretty solid), I'm just upset that Gail Simone introduced a character that embodied everything great about Rorschach only for DC to just turn around and get rid of him.
@@lukeskywalker987 "Everything great about Rorschach"
Umm, The Question predates Rorschach dude.
@@northwindkey I was more talking about what made Rorschach so entertaining.
yaas same!
When I saw the question I thought to myself "it would cool if it was Acevanes question" and when it was I died. Love both your work
I would not accept any other cartoon question
@@gameuniverse5973 Are you implying there ARE any other versions of Question? That was a rhetorical Question. I, too have Question powers. How did I get these? I don't know.
I'm done with my Questions.
"Why? Because thats leverage" Worth the dreaded self promotion
1:18 to the end of that bit is actual gold 😂
1:45 To be fair, asking questions is a pretty solid detective skill.
Batman should try it more
That's also a bit layered.
"I also know who killed epstein.. me" I'm dying
1:25 killed me
i didn't laugh like that in a while
Almost killed him too
When Rorschach entered, I was expecting Superman to say "Hey, he kind of looks like the last guy." (With the Question being the inspiration for Rorschach and all.)
Also, "Y'all just facist" was amazing.
I love how Dwayne "the Rock" Johnson sounded nothing like Dwayne "the Rock" Johnson.
This collab with Acevane is definitely what I needed today
As soon as The Question rolled up I knew this was going to be hilarious! I love Ace Vane 🤣🤣🤣
Fr I was grinning
"What can you do?"
"I search these ignorant and unlawful streets full of wasted potential and vermin in search of the answer."
"The answer....?"
"The answer to my question."
As soon as The Question popped up I already knew who it was going to be haha. Ace Vane is to funny.
I was very curious with the direction you were gonna go with the question as AceVane has already hit peak comedy with him. To say that you guys did not dissapoint one bit would be an understatement.
unironically my favourite interpretation of the question
3:00 for those that didn't know Watchmen was originally going to use established DC characters, but had to to change it at the last minute. Rorschach was originally going to be The Question.
Who was Manhattan supposed to be ?
@@Doodmeister0 Doctor Manhattan is based off Captain Atom.
Rorschach is also a deliberate parody version of The Question. Moore was using Watchmen in part to criticize Steve Ditko's quasi-fascistic Randian beliefs.
@@northwindkey Which some what backfired, with Rorschach becoming one of the more popular characters.
@@tdvwest9514That’s what happens when you make a compelling protagonist who actually does something. Rorschach moves the entire plot, and his moral character is nigh impeachable; while ozymandius is out here planning to kill millions via squid
This whole time, I was thinking "Man, this would be a great AceVane skit"
And then all of a sudden, I hear him in the video!
Well his question voice is a bit different tho I think
@@gameuniverse5973 Very different but still recognisable
So proud he never self promoted the channel again after this just like he promised
Wonder Woman casually punching Batman is the best! Especially with his face demolished afterwards. Should've kept that for the rest of the video and given him a rattled voice to keep up with the bit. xD
2:40 There's a very dark joke to be made there since Batman has so much money
He already has Robin, I dunno why he'd need to visit the island
"He just admitted to killing Jeffery Epstein should we do something about that?" before moving on and not caring was hilarious.
The entire bit with the question was just amazing.
I love the subtlety and nuance of the Rock becoming a literal rock at the end! 😂
meh I felt like that moment had the bluntness of a rock
@@frankwest5388 that joke was TERRIBLE!
You have earned my RESPECT!
@@BR-jw7pm The Rock doesn't find that humorous, the Rock feels insulted that these jabronis think that The Rock is a literal sedimentary rock. In truth, The Rock is in fact an igneous rock because The Rock gets really hard especially when he's with a fine ass woman in bed.
@The-Electro-Punk
We now know his arch nemesis: Mundane Matt.
I hear the Mario Kart DS Credits Music in the back there @3:08, huge respect for that. If I wasn’t subbed to you already, after hearing that I definitely would.
The Question was awesome in Justice League Unlimited. He was also extremely smart and great at solving problems.
An AceVanexSolidJJ collab is something I had no idea I ever needed but something I now realise I need so much more of. If any of you reading this have not watched Acevane I strongly urge you to, his intros are bit long so can swear with demonetisation, but once his videos start they are incredible

Rorschach and Question being almost one person is just hilarious
😂😂💔The voice of Batman and Superman always makes me think they're drunkard
AN ACEVANE COLLAB!!! I heard the Questions voice and and immediately was like "is that him?"
You guys make the best DC parody voice over content.
Perfect combination of creators
Love that you followed The Question with Rorschach, who was inspired by The Question and referenced Mr Answer (Mr A) who was in Charlotte Comics along with The Question (Q&A)
Almost everything you said was wrong. LOL
(1) The Question was in CHARLTON COMICS titles along with the 1960s Blue Beetle.
(2) Mr. A did NOT appear in CHARLTON COMICS titles, but in some lesser known independent comics.
(3) Mr. A is like a more radical version of the Question, but the two never appeared together.
(4) TRIVIA: All of the above characters were created by Steve Ditko.
