Jacks vocals in all seriousness are probably the best I’ve ever heard in in my life. He can sing a song with no background music or anything and it still sounds amazing. I would even say he’s in the top 1000 best voices in the world.
So basically, last year was rough and world's smallest violin spoke to me and helped me get through things. I knew of a couple other songs of this same artist. It wasn't until yesterday my Spotify recommended this song, and I wasn't aware of it. It hit me like a damn truck with emotions when I heard all the songs I knew blend into a beautiful melody. It's an amazingly melodic, inspiring, and catchy song. I was debating if it's something you hear as the "Prelude" (Think Another Day in the Sun from La La Land). Or is the Finale? I decided it's neither. It's the "intermission" song. "Yeah, I'm knocked down, but 'I'm here still.'"

for some reason the small sigh at 4:01 really gets me, i mean it’s like there’s more emotion and feeling packed into that one breath than the entire album somehow
i'm reading this wonderful comments and i got it that "I can't be 18 my whole life" can speak loud for some, but for me that is 17 the "I'm too fucking young to feel so fucking old" just talks to my whole anxiety to grow up in such a fundamental level, man.
As a fellow 17 year old, I completely and totally agree with you
literally. i’m 16 but feel the same
Also 17, totally agree

True, my friend
Imagine listening to Bummerland, looking away for a sec, and they have already cooked 1000 new bangers
“Cooked” quite literally.
Does anyone else realize how it's colorful then it's black and white and he's singing his thoughts about how music might be his thing but it jumps back to colorful meaning he'll push through and everything will be alright
Your name is me right now
Wow that is deep
Is that part actually a song in the album or is it exclusively just a part of the overture. I skimmed most of album to try and find it.
@@augienathanson2432 it’s exclusively part of the overture, which I think is a new thing for them. But “ But I’m not dead yet so I guess I’ll be alright” is in the bridge of Way Less Sad. It just hits different in the overture
Everything is gonna be alright. We just gotta keep going even if it sucks right now. I love that message. AJR has consistently shown the awful uncertainty of it all while being humorously (but also sincerely) hopeful.
We all sad but vibin
AJR is criminally underrated, I feel bad for the people who haven't found their music
It's their very unfortunate loss
I don’t understand how people don’t like them. I mean come on! This is a work of art and no one could ever do what they do. They’re just so unique and different. I love these guys so much!
There’s always people that don’t like something
I mean people have very different tastes like how I dont like county music even though my friend thinks its amazing.
When Jack Shot His Drum Stick In The Air My Soul literally Left My Body😱😱😱

the outro part from 4:02-4:31 is my favorite part. it has so many different emotions and it feels like something that would play at the end of a movie.

yes I agree
I feel the same way so many emotions and it give me chills
3:48- 4:08 as someone who is young, this is the lyrics that relate to me the most
Yes I really love the outro

I litterally stayed up till 12 just to listen to this I’m so excited.
Update: ok this is making me so excited for the rest of the album
Update 2: this is like the click overture on steroids
This honestly sounds straight straight from Broadway... Im crying rn
I swear to god if the only word Adam says this album is "drumset" I will loose my shit.
Fun fact, Adam sings in the album 😍
Which song?? 😮

i've had it for 17 hours since i'm from new zealand, and it's so damn good!! can't wait for you guys to hear it :)
Jacks vocals in all seriousness are probably the best I’ve ever heard in in my life. He can sing a song with no background music or anything and it still sounds amazing. I would even say he’s in the top 1000 best voices in the world.
I like how everyone is switching between a guitar, microphone, keyboard, but Ryan just casually pulls out a melodica and a ukulele too 😂
Humpty Dumpty seems like a fever dream and I’m here for it.

And that last line?
"But I'm not dead yet, so I guess I'll be alright"
Is the chapter name of my 2023. I'm definitely in a better place than I was in 2022.

Well it’s the best song in the album. It’s like a movie trailer not giving away the best parts 😂
4:08 that part is insane
IKR!!!
It’s called the climax of the song for a reason :]
This is awesome! I love how these songs are intertwined together!
All of AJR makes me happy, but 4:03 gives me the biggest rush of serotonin and willpower EVER.
I could imagine a choir rising in the background
It's an amazingly melodic, inspiring, and catchy song.
I was debating if it's something you hear as the "Prelude" (Think Another Day in the Sun from La La Land). Or is the Finale?
I decided it's neither. It's the "intermission" song. "Yeah, I'm knocked down, but 'I'm here still.'"

With how epic this song is I kinda wish they saved it for the end.
What I did with this album and the Click is listen to it first, like in the order of the album, as an introduction to hear the different sounds and get the vibes of the album as a whole. Then when I finished the album I listened to it again as an outro, containing all of the sounds and choruses of the songs I just listened to. It really starts finishes out the album with style, the overture is always epic

So excited for it! Been listening to them for four years now and I’ve loved every album more than the last!
More people should appreciate them, there’s actually a lot of people who don’t know about ajr.
I made my mom listen to ajr and she loves their music
I've been listening to them for like 5 or so years and seeing them grow has been the best thing. They fully deserve it
It's definitely a shame, because "I'm Ready" was an absolutely massive hit, but they've honestly only gotten better with each album and yet nothing has gained the same traction since.
Imagine not knowing ajr, honestly feel bad for them
