Lyrics:
One day, maybe someday
I’ll be so out of touch
I’ll become a trumpet or a drumset
In a sad orchestra
One day, maybe someday
In a world speeding up
It’s getting hard, so very hard to keep up
One day, maybe someday
I’ll be so out of touch
I’ll become a trumpet or a drumset
In a sad orchestra
One day I won’t know what to write
And I can’t be eighteen my whole life
But I’m too fucking young
To feel so fucking old
But I’ll try and I’ll try and I’ll try
But I’m not dead yet
so I guess I’ll be alright

UhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhHhhhhHhHhhHHHHHHHH
Yeah lmao.
100% yes
Amen. I always tell people I think they’re reinventing music. You know how music’s “sound” changes every few decades or so? They did that.
The musical genius that goes into every Overture is insane. I wonder if when they're brainstorming song ideas for an album, they create them in a way so they go well together as an Overture. Or do they just hope that when you throw them all in a blender that something as magical as this pops out.
I honestly hope they go and make a overture for each ablum

All of AJR makes me happy, but 4:03 gives me the biggest rush of serotonin and willpower EVER.
I could imagine a choir rising in the background
It's an amazingly melodic, inspiring, and catchy song.
I was debating if it's something you hear as the "Prelude" (Think Another Day in the Sun from La La Land). Or is the Finale?
I decided it's neither. It's the "intermission" song. "Yeah, I'm knocked down, but 'I'm here still.'"
4:03
@@intelati49I love this reply so much

I’m so glad OKO has an overture, as much as I loved Neotheater there’s just nothing quite like hearing all their songs carefully crafted into one single masterpiece
YES! Their "Overture" is always my favorite on their albums.
neotheater had a different structure, they had an intro (next up forever) and a finale (finale, duh) so an overture wouldn't've really worked
@@andypher I agree. I always listen to their Overture first so I'll know what's coming. And this time, I DIED HAPPY
That's a really good way of putting it actually

I think I found a word to describe AJR's Genre. Versatile. It means, able to be changed, or inconsistent. I mean this in the best way possible, I love this band. That word fits perfectly. Versatile is their genre of music.
As a fellow AJR fan, I'll recommend listening to Linkin Park's entire discography (if you haven't already). AJR is the only other band I've discovered other than Linkin Park that keeps experimenting with and modifying their style album after album, all with different but good results
@@tolu619 I was a fan of Linkin Park for a little while when I was 13 or something. But I felt like their songs were a little sad/put me in a bad mood so I stopped listening to their music. It's been a year or two now so maybe that's changed.

My absolute favorite thing about this video is how pained Jack looks the whole time. Like he's not just singing the songs, he's feeling them the whole entire time. You can feel the origins of all the songs colliding, and it's the relatable energy that's so hard to put into words, which is why when they all come together at the end, it's ugly cry-worthy powerful. At the end especially. I love whenever they are playing they're really feeling the music and how you can tell they're concentrating so hard. Either that or they're pretending it isn't effortless for an effect (which is likely since they're so talented)
Ugly-cry worthy? I don't think so.
PS - I'm known as a straight-faced robot by my peers so take my opinion with a grain of salt
