Yin yin's dragon form reminds me of Bakunawa in Philippine Mythology. It was a "sea dragon" that had fishlike features, could swallow the moon creating lunar eclipses, and manipulate tidal currents.
Everything in this looks absolutely STUNNING. I'm blown away, honestly. I'm also a bit wary from how much of the added things are described as extremely powerful... XD
the soft power of slavic countries is non existent and they still added kislev... It comes down to how many people are willing to buy, and Japanese aesthetic is very marketable.
Everything looks so incredible, my only criticism is that I prefer the old design of Yin-Yin (at least in human form). This one kinda looks like a skin for Miao Ying, which is a shame since I think the old version was one of the best fan designs I've ever seen for a character in this game.
Every time someone goes, “Has access to shipbuilding” I jump up and down. I’m definitely looking at this once I’ve had my fill of the other couple of mods I’m looking at

If they ever bring Nippon to the game (which one prays to Sigmar they will) it would be like the Vampire Coast in human faction! As Nippon basically has a very powerful navy
I'm really hoping down the line that we get Naval battles in total war if only because Warhammer has amazing ship designs and I'd love to see them duke it out. Ghost pirate ships vs Industrial steam ships sounds so awesome
Meaning to try this out, spent yesterday on the excellent and unique Grudgebringers mod you already covered. Highly recommend that one if a single army, self directed, psuedo-roleplaying campaign interests you. You have objectives and incentives (plus the actual ability) to wander literally anywhere on the map. The only limitation is it heavily focuses around the order races, so you can't like declare war on the empire or the high elves (or rather you probably shouldn't).
If Yin-Yin gets an official release, I think her spells will follow the same pattern as Miao Ying and Zhao Ming. They have either Yin or Yang spells and then spells from a Lore of opposite alignment. The Lores of Yin and Yang are similar to High Magic, but instead of being a combination of all eight Winds, they only combines four each. Yin combines Death, Shadow, Metal and Beasts. Yang combines Fire, Light, Life and Heavens. So that would suggest that Yin-Yin in her official release would probably have spells from the Lores of Beasts and Yang. The Dragon Children in Warhammer are themed after the Nine Sons of the Dragon from real Chinese mythology, and in Warhammer they have a Lore of Magic that loosely matches that theme. And that is why Yin-Yin would be themed with Lore of Beasts.
If the nippon submod pushes into a full standalone thing from yin yin i would be over the moon. Im a pretty big japanophile tbh, so the thought of proper samurai in Warhammer excites me greatly
tbh i kinda wish Zheng Shih in this mod kept her original flag and name "Dead flag fleet" as it is a nod to the rea life pirate she was inspired by. i prefer her as a straight ampire lord aswell. im not sayng replace nippon, i know we all want nippon bbut i really wish they just got a new lord and Zheng Shih was left alone...
I love this. Only complaint is that the samurai helmets look a little goofy and over-sized on the non-armored models... on the actual armored samurai they look great though
@@marioomicron1851 there is a difference between doing a mod, and actual game, what would happen the moment you gotta fight in land, where would the ships go? And how would they even fight most faction on sea, if others wouldn't have ships most likely I get what you want, but it's a very unrealistic thing, because the game isn't around that mechanic
@@DaisyLazyPanda I disagree, as in any historical total war game every land unit you decide to use to cross a sea have an equivalent on ship (for example in Rome 2 peltasts become Pursuit Trihemiolia when fighting on water) this can be applied to warhammer as well. Hangunners of the empire can be used as missile units on a ship. This would obviously prejudice armies that rely on monsters or melee infantry but so it does on other total wars. Some factions are just better in some areas. And about the game mechanics, many faction in the lore and in the game are based on sea battles or are powerfull in this matter. (Dark elves, vampire coast, the empire, norsca, Bretonia i think, the dwarves and the chaos dwarves).
What do you mean? There is no water based map for fighting and there are flying rigs such as gyrocopters,skyjunk,sky-lantern. Also they can do landships due to the tank rig.. what do you exactly want them to do? :D
hay I riley want to get in to this mod campaign but her faction will not show up on the faction select screen i have the right mods to run this so if anyone can help that would be great. btw love your mod showcase videos.
I could definitely see that you take over parts of Lustria and then gift the settlements for peace and money to the lizardmen... unless they start with massive aversion. Cause in this case, I would abandon Lustria but give it to some lizardman major factions. Before moving back to Cathay.
Not knocking on anyone particular but just a little rant for something that kinda irks me. I'll never understand how some people are obsessed with feathers on dinosaurs. Yes, ancient raptors and precursors to birds had feathers. But, how some people jumped on the bandwagon when one trex was found with feathers on its skull in china. Not one other time prior was there indication of feathers and no consideration for the potential remains of dead carrion. At the end of the day we definitely are still at a loss of how ancient animals looked. Hell, old skulls were probably what started the dragon mythology. But, you'd think it'd be someones job to go into the wild and de feather all current day lizards the way dinos are depicted by some hah.
Nippon would be nice but i'd definetally say it's the lowest priority of all the ideal content to come in the future. I think Ind and Khuresh are the most vital races to recieve since we already have the landmasses for them, followed by map expansions like in the west coast of Naggarond and the Eastern Stepps, warhammer Korea, and of course the Realms of Chaos above the Stepps Once we have most or all of those, a Nippon New Race DLC would be a wonderful final Race Pack for the game.
Honestly, I think it's lame that the yin yang unit designation is apparently always based around whether they're ranged or melee, with the exception of heroes/lords. Qualifying ogre whalers as yin seems kind of weird to me. There's nothing "subtle, passive, feminine, clandestine" etc about them, they're big, loud, bombastic and direct, it'd make more sense to associate them with yang.
I see you doing a lot of mod content. Has the official game content been pretty slow? It took them so long to get Immortal Empires out I kinda lost interest and moved on. I’ve played a few campaigns since then and like the Chaos Dwarves. But I haven’t seen much about TWW3 lately.
It’s just the content cycle, you have loads to cover, then not much for a long time… then loads to cover all at once… then nothing for a long time … and so on and so forth. CA content takes time, and mods nowadays are actually very high quality so they kinda help fill the void.
One of the coolest things about the old one, was the amazing asian pirate vibes it gives, like several real life historical famous people, now it sadly looks so... Lame, like a reskin
Both mods linked in description :)
mods thunder lizard try it damn The Big Book are you a bot?

I can't imagine why GW wouldn't add Nippon. The soft power of Japan is very real and samurai games are very popular.

They would have to refresh exisitng lore
Plus extend the map to include Nippon.
@@nikoladedic6623and make Ind and the Empire bigger. I don't know why, but the Empire always feels pretty small, especially in comparison to Cathay
