The t110e5 is pretty much broken right now. It's basically an is7 turret, with good mobility, hardest to pen hull out of the tier 10 heavies, and a fantastic gun. After the turret was buffed, the only thing you can do when you see a hull down E5 is go somewhere else. You can't pen it, using gold or not.

That ball on top of the turret can still be penned, just at the base of the ball, not the ball itself. That was a balancing factor if you ask me, because until that point, the T110E5 was so easy to kill.

The UFP is also pennable with HEAT ammo, it's around 280-300 effective. IS7 is way stronger, i.e invincible hull down, E5 hull down is still easier to pen that say an E75 cupola. And of course the E5 has 76mm sides and a 127mm thick and flat side turret, once you are past about 20/30 degrees angle it's easy to pen an E5 in the side. E5 armour works well hull down, front on and preferabbly at range, with no arty. Pretty much as QB showed there. Arty wrecks it and shots from multiple angles will kill it easily where as an IS7 is much more resilient, most tier 10 guns can't even go through the side of an IS7 turret whereas even tier 10 TD premium ammo will struggle with the front. IS7 is much better are close range engagements against multiple opponents because of it's superior all round armour. E5 basically relies on the enemy being directly front and not able to the see the LFP.
Though I agree entirely that the current meta on Erlenberg is for the enemy to attack the Western flank, I think going there (unless the distribution of your team is vastly heavier on the western flank than on the Eastern flank) is a bad idea. For the most part, you team will go to the Eastern flank and leave the west pretty barren, whether you request their help or not they will usually ignore you. This means on most games you will be outnumbered by far on the Western flank, and if the enemy team has any idea what they're doing they will quickly push through the flank after realising their numbers are superior and will rapidly dispatch of any outnumbered defenders left on the doomed flank, whether they're on the first line of defence or on the second line of defence which you pointed out, as you'll likely only get a couple of shots off tops before you're overwhelmed. Implying you'll be able to get anywhere near the city in a heavy tank, or many meds, when abandoning the flank after the enemy has pushed is very optimistic to say the least. Once the enemies have removed, say, 1/3rd of your team who were left to defend the Eastern flank, your team will be outnumbered as the chances are the superior enemy numbers took much less of a beating from the inferior friendly force than they dished out, and the enemies are left with an easier game due to their superior numbers, you have died on a doomed flank for no real reason and have had a shitty game. Alternatively you could go to the Eastern flank, mop up any scrubs on the enemy team who are outnumbered, get superiority in numbers, then defend from the vastly superior defending positions the Eastern flank provides compared to that of the West and pick apart the invaders coming from the West, having to cross an open field and bridge, whilst you are either unspotted if you utilise the great bush locations in the North East, or get in a strong defensive position for heavies in the city against those who have no cover. If you are attacking on Erlenberg, take the Eastern flank and it's much harder for the enemy to defend from the West, and the cap circle is on the East side making it easier for you to attack. If you're defending, defend the Eastern flank with everything you've got for the same reasons -- easier to defend if they're attacking West.

I only play world of tanks occasionally, so it seems that by the time i get the hang of a newly released map they release another one. I don't have the ability to learn how to play on every assault map too, since each map is played almost completely different from encounter and traditional versions of that map. The teams don't either. As you mentioned, assault often results in a stomp, because in order to play it effectively it is required that a majority of your team has an idea about what they are doing.

So, for those who have this tank and the FV215b, which do you prefer? I just got the 215b a few days ago, and it's rapidly becoming my favorite tank in the game. The gun is a freakin' sniper rifle mounted onto a tank with incredible ROF, aim time, and accuracy. I do know the armor isn't as good though, except on the turret, and it does get set on fire a lot. However, I don't have the T110E5, and was wondering what people think is the better tank
I think even from the T1 Heavy you need to start working ridges and obstacles as the hulls are big and awfully soft. Turrets are not troll, although the T1's turret can surprise you in tier 5 and 6 battles with some awesome bounces.
Assault mode heavily demands teamwork and thats why i disable it. Maybe its not bad for platoons as they can influence game more, but for solo play its better let it off and save your nerves.
I have the Assault and encounter modes switched off in WoT as I feel like the playerbase on those modes is of much lower quality and lower my win percentage. This is on the NA server by the way.

I really enjoy the assault game mode. But i deactivated it again because there are too few maps into rotation for this mode. The game kept putting me on karelia over and over again which really fed me up...

Hey quicky, could you maybe use free camera to explain things when there is less action going on? I feel like I'm missing out somewhat when you're putting in shots and the camera is away looking at the map, great video as always.
I played the FV215b and absolutely fell in love with the gun. However the armor was a bit...meh. The T110E5 really covered for the weaknesses of the FV. The gun isn't that bad and I quickly learned that I can still pull of shots similar to the FV. So I love it more than ever
The fv215b is still a MASSIVE upgrade from the conqueror though. I've got 50k experience in my 215b and I still can't get over how much of a difference there is.

Some maps are suited for Assault, some are not. I know almost all games weigh on having proper coordination, but Assault is the game that *heavily* needs coordination, with or without arty.
What do you mean by tier for tier?? Are you saying that its bet heavy tank for tier 10 or are you relating it to pound for pound like in the UFC where its best tank/fighter over all the heavy tanks?
Hey QB, nice video here, when i saw you beeing so happy i actually made myself going up this line too. But i have a question. My fav tank of the game is the rhm.-borsig. And i havent seen you featuring this TD since the review you made a few years ago. So im asking you why your not giving this TD a chance to show how awesome it is by trying to figure out how to make the 15cm to work. My best game was 8.5k damage and around 6 kills. My crew is pretty good tho, my strategy is playing it more as a brawler, only really using its camo if i got to play other tanks in tense situation out. I also got a crew with eagle eye, dead eye, BIA and binox (im not even using camo net). Im playing it as a wrecking ball, destroying or killing at least 1-2 modules and crew members per shot, wich lead me to this insane round i had burning and ammoracking enemys. I would love to see you having fun with this TD again too. I would love to hear your opinion! Great video tho, keep it up ;). I would love to see the T110E5 in my garage too but im currently at the M6.

+Konrad “Keanel” Regiec I would recommend you to use optics, as you don't need to squize that aiming time, like a IS-7 / 4, E-100 and other HT needs to. Same goes to tanks like Caernarvorn, Conqueror, FCM-50t, T32. Having 450+ view range at lets say tier 8 is a massive advantage, over 2.5% of overall performance (from vents)...

yeah the wot labs is a bit different but the numbers are all the same the XVM uses the same as QBs though so i would have said it is much more widespread
+QuickyBabyTV turned it off as 10mins are rather short in most cases when the game is really a lot of fun it is in the endgame and when there are only 10mins i think it kinda takes the fun away also i dont like the fact one team wins by camping... furthermore this mode is even better for arty which i absolutly despise... so yeah ^^ not my mode encounter however is completly different :) i love it cos the games take much longer and no bots are gonna invade my base before i even have the chance to go back :D
I don´t like assault - so it´s not activated. Because if you have to attack on assault, you have 2 disadvantages: - you have to attack and have the weaker positions - the time runs against you - time´s out - you gonna loose That´s it.
I deactivated assault because its unbalanced in my opinion. for example karelian (maye writen wrong) 80% of the games get win by the defenders because the most of the attackers dont know how to attack the base in the right way
+Florian Becker As soon as the option appears on the console versions of the game, it's permanently off. The game mode is inherently flawed due to the dynamics of defense: at best you need a 3:2 ratio to win, at worst around 5:2. You don't get this. You start off equal. There are ways to deal with it, but it requires a Plan and enough team coordination to pull off defeating the enemy in detail--which you rarely see.

The WT E100 did the only thing he could frontally. T110E5 buffed beyond healthy level i think. The hull weakspots became tiny even in close quartes, turret weakspot are non existent .. If you are in a slow HT you are screwed.
I just lost a 3k damage game in blitz at tier 5 because I was heroically circling a kv1 for a kolobanovs medal( or however you spell it) and I lagged out and ran into a wall....
i hate those times when im drivin (mostly circling) and acidently crash into something then im just like "where the hell did this came from?" and i die :/

The E5 is a nightmare from the front. Except for the sides of the lower plate the armor is just incredible.

I turn off assault merely because I am a very aggressive player (Quite good, mind you,) and find that assaults tend to be really campy.

why did not you shot HE on the Waffenträger

Thanks for the video. I've been debating if I should buy the E5 or IS7 when they go on sale here in couple of days, and looks like the E5 is the winner. I know this is going to rattle someone's cage here, but every time I see IS7 I do not have as hard time taking it out as the E5.

yeah the wot labs is a bit different but the numbers are all the same the XVM uses the same as QBs though so i would have said it is much more widespread

turned it off as 10mins are rather short
in most cases when the game is really a lot of fun it is in the endgame and when there are only 10mins i think it kinda takes the fun away
also i dont like the fact one team wins by camping...
furthermore this mode is even better for arty which i absolutly despise... so yeah ^^ not my mode
encounter however is completly different :) i love it cos the games take much longer and no bots are gonna invade my base before i even have the chance to go back :D

I don´t like assault - so it´s not activated.
Because if you have to attack on assault, you have 2 disadvantages:
- you have to attack and have the weaker positions
- the time runs against you - time´s out - you gonna loose
That´s it.

I have all of the game modes activates as it provides me more variety.
I deactivated assault because its unbalanced in my opinion. for example karelian (maye writen wrong) 80% of the games get win by the defenders because the most of the attackers dont know how to attack the base in the right way
assault is so unbalanced it makes arty look good.

I just recently (1 week ) ago activated the Assault mode and instantly got Karelia assault went in the middle with my Comet did 3.6k Damage.

The WT E100 did the only thing he could frontally. T110E5 buffed beyond healthy level i think.
The hull weakspots became tiny even in close quartes, turret weakspot are non existent ..
If you are in a slow HT you are screwed.

I just lost a 3k damage game in blitz at tier 5 because I was heroically circling a kv1 for a kolobanovs medal( or however you spell it) and I lagged out and ran into a wall....
i hate those times when im drivin (mostly circling) and acidently crash into something then im just like "where the hell did this came from?" and i die :/
Yeah, but this was a t5 game in blitz, with 3k damage, and I LAGGED! Wtf game
