Yes an excellent story and one of those properties where I would purchase with the stipulation that the families that are there working the land, stay and just feed me wine, olive oil and truffles! I would be an unpaid worker! Keep bringing these gems Nick!

Yes! If one was wealthy and lonely (I have part of that down!) it would be an instant family! This is exactly my kind of place :) I have similar sized acreage, but such a cultural difference where I live.

Wasn't that the original form of landlording though? The settlers give the landowner a portion of the harvest (as opposed to money ) for use of the land

Property loaded with natural beauty and good things from the Earth. Love the mental excursion it took me on❤️. What a difference in the ruin and the business building structures. Of course, the old must be restored in the same vein, to it’s former glory.
Lovely to think about and admire. Thank you for sharing with us all 👋👋

This is a beautiful piece of property! I totally agree to tear down the building and reorient it and use the stones to build a new one. Great view and it’s so nice and flat. The vineyard is beautiful! Those are great ideas for that business building. Thanks for this great video Nick!

Thank you for showing this property, it was very interesting, beautiful views from the area of the ruins. I know nothing about wine production, & I thought you explained simply so anyone could understand, the owner seemed very nice, hopefully someone will purchase & carry on the tradition. Enjoy your weekend, I always enjoy your property tours.

Well, amaizing. This is not a simple property, it is a large one. Congratulations Nick is not simple to show this jigsaw,. All come for 1.9 millon euros??? Is cheapest. But it is not a simple retirament, is a decison of life. I think that you could use both ruin, after restoration, as a high status hotel for example, and live in the other one, as you say. Stunnig explanation by the lady, I I learn about the wine production in Italy. At last, amaizing property, full of posibilties and potential. Thank you Nick, have a nice week end

Curious about the profitability of the business. Producing 8,000 bottles for a total average of roughly $134,000 (average of $16.80 per bottle converted to USD) and having what looks to be atleast 5 employees it doesn’t seem like a lot of profit left over for the owner. It does look like there’s the possibility of doubling or tripling the size of the vineyard based off the available leftover land though. I guess that’s why it’s called a hobby vineyard? None the less, beautiful and very interesting property.

    Hi,
I love the concept of the place when we win the lotto. My concern cam with the figures for the wine 8000 bottles at €20 euros a pop let’s say because I m rubbish at figures, so €160000 income. Now I saw at least 5 people working in the office, so I suspect there are at least 4 more working the vines. So 9 people, let’s say eacH earn €20000 euros a year, which come to €180000 so a net loss on just people of €20000, now I know the EU give out money like it is going out of fashion, but could you explain the maths

I might be wrong, but I believe she said it was a relatively new plantation so I would assume the harvest from these trees would increase as the trees matured. When grown in the traditional open-grove way, olives begin bearing fruit in the tree's fifth year and take between 8-10 years to reach full production.
