That first fish was HUGE!, while you’re targeting big snaps, I’m here targeting Bream 🤣🤣, our biggest one so far is 40cm!! Awesome video as always Allen! Loved this very much! Keep up the amazing work! Tight lines brotha! 🤙🎣🤙🎣
hey Allen, just wondering if you will be at the regional fishing expo this weekend at Shepparton, if you are reply to this because id really like to see you there, thanks.
Thanks that's greatly appreciated. All our details product reviews, how to's, reports, rigging tutorials, giveaways and workshops are now in the FishingMad members area, ( heaps of content ) www.fishingmad.com.au/member the youtube channel covers our fishing adventures.
Love your vids Alan, thanks for always posting movie production quality videos!! Was wondering if you would be doing any landbased vids in northern port phillip around mordialloc area, as i have only seen you do a handful of vids in the area. Cheers man🤙🤙🤙
Thanks I really appreciate the kind comment. I really wanna do more land based vids spread across Vic but it can be really challenging these days. The piers get so busy and everyone comes up to us which is amazing and humbling but that can make filming really difficult. Id love to cover a few spots on that side and a few more in the heart of Melbourne. Hopefully I can cover those soon.
@@fishingmadThanks for the reply Al, yea unfortunately as i local i can vouch for that, now its a matter of finding your own spots and enjoying them as much as you can before other people overfish it. Thanks again Tight lines🤙🤙🤙
Yeah last time I went to Mordialloc pier the end of it was so packed I have no idea how there were no tangles or anything. It’s also annoying when some cast over your line and then when the reel it back in it looks like your rod has a big bite.
Hey Alan love the vid! I really want to get into fishing with lures and was wondering if there is anywhere you recommend going fishing land based with lures
Thanks its greatly appreciated. Some great land based spots. Geelong like this ua-cam.com/video/Y8kaWBuiKgA/v-deo.html piers around Port Melbourne, Blairgowrie, Rye, Lorne, St Leonards

Hey alan, What's a good light rod for whiting, squid and bream around the $200 mark?

What weight line do you use for snapper?
I usually run 30lb braid and 40-60lb fluoro for the rigs.
what reel was used to catch that first snapper
ill double check with my mate, I thought he had a Sustain, but ill have another look
also do you think it would be worth having a crack up quail bank area as i ususally launch around there
Yeah 100% most of the good fish are in the top end in the shallows, and plenty of squid and whiting that way too
@ yea theres definetly some monster squid up there. cheers for the reply mate 👍
Leader and line hooksize would have worked for me cheers
Hey mate how deep were you fishing?
3 meters in 2 spots and 5 meters in one of the spots. Thanks
@ cheers! Thanks for the great content
One question - why have 7 rods out ? Disaster waiting to happen.
3 people fishing on a massive boat. It didn't cause much issues at all.
@@fishingmad yeah, but one rod each there are NO issues?
@@skolpikwhat issues are 7 rods going to give you?
