    This footage is remarkable! I flew into Sydney last night and there were loads of flood donation offerings at the airport - now I totally understand why!

    En Alicante Spain suele ser relativamente habitual las lluvias torrenciales que provocan inundaciones. Pero no de esa magnitud. Si es cierto que en 1982 tuvimos 216 ltr en 2h de lluvia constante. No se me olvida a mis 67 años.

    omg. where i live(central patagonia, semidesertic) , we consider 6 mm of rain an important rain. and happends between lot of time. this would be the apocalypse for us

    Very few people realize how massive Rivers can flow in Oz
    In Dec 2022 for 3 days the Fitzroy River in West Oz was the 2nd largest River in the World
    Calling Australia a dry country is a foolish statement

    If this level of flood is happening some thing need to be kept to let the traveller's know how deep the waters are, if not some will just thing its not to deep and just move forward to get taken away by flood.

    They need to install drainage pipes with pumps which leads into a dam , river or ocean so when it floods the drains should open and pumps to be switched on so it can move water out of low laying areas .

      Itsba great idea, but rhey got a years worth of rain in just a few days.
      I think it was 1.5 metres of rain in 48 hours of something.
      No drainage system anywhere in the world can handle that kinda water.

    When will people wake up to the fact the roads are NEVER built correctly....NEVER!!!
    Records clearly reveal the levels of ALL rivers and creeks in Australia....but the stupid councils and governments are still bereft of any knowledge of road building to compensate.
    The name of the road repairer and builder in NSW.....'Lack'......very appropriate!

    Main land Australia is very dry and many animals even are dying or struggling to survive, why don't they pump these water and use it where it may be needed the most. Create massive pipes or artificial looking rivers to take these waters to where it's needed the most. Everything is possible if people really want.
