I thought my 325i had a lot of cosmoline, but this is next level haha
I remember my first experience with a bimmer. My stepdad bought a late 80s 5 series. It was a beautiful brand new '88 e28 and I just remember thinking how solid it was. I was used to our American boats but this thing could handle. Ive been in love since. The one I fell madly for though was the e39 m5. I was just getting started in life and that was my dream car. My elenor if you will. One day.. One day.
gutted we lost you eric. i cant believe you are no longer with us. miss you man
Cool video! My first car was 91 318is. My dad bought it about 10 years before I could drive. I daily drove it for 3 years before I went away to school. I loved it. Sadly the driving through 15 New Hampshire winters it rusted away. After I graduated we found another one in good shape. Sadly the M42 engine bent valves and destroyed its self. So we did an engine swap and she is living on with an M50 engine. I love e30's I don't think anything will ever come close in my opinion.
Sad that we lose e30s from owners that dont love them enough that they rust away
@@_rmms_8285 I think we lose more e30's from people tracking them and crashing them then people who daily drive it through the winter. I was 16 and it was my car... I had to get to school and football. Thanks for the back handed comment though...
@@BattleBean762 what i meant by that is it can rust away but dosent mean you have to tthrow the car away restore it. I have two e32s and one dosent have the whole floor its rusted out and im only 16 myself and broke. restore them both is my goal and to save as many other old bmw as i can :)
That car was an icon at its era... Difficult to explain that a simple boxy design had that kind of affection...
This is my next car
Thanks for the great videos. Just can’t get enough👍🏻
WOW i have the EXACT same car. same spec and all. Also have a ton of cosmoline in my engine bay and wondered if it was from a previous owner, guess not. Great video. Cool car.
My first car. Red with black recaro interior
Great video. Keep them coming!
Love what you guys do. I remember when these were new back in the day. Living in the UK, the RHD cars were manufactured in South Africa for that market. Out of interest, do you sell to anyone outside of the US?
Nice cool car ..i liked ..
….and I’m pretty sure I had more the 30 mpg on the highway. Idk. 91+ octane 400+ miles per tank.
Where can I get new tires for this car without having to get bigger rims than original?
Great video, I have the same car in Australia. Just wondering what suspension upgrade was made?
You're missing one of the rubber stoppers on the hood hinge... Driver side has the rubber stopper, Passenger side does not! Keen E30 eyes.
Yes, this and so much more has been addressed during our Rejuv program. This video was shot just as the car returned before our workshop pit stop.
Good eye!
@@EnthusiastAutoGroupCincinnati Great! Fantastic looking car! Just acquired a 325ix, 29 year owned, and the only missing piece I could find was the rubber stopper, now I'm looking at everyone's hinges! LOL! Keep up the great work!
Do you put “not so valuable” cars through your program. Im just curious bc i own and almost daily drive a 1988 535is with who knows how many miles (odometer broke at 201k) and a bunch of jank fixes and all the imperfections you get when you own a 30yr old bmw but I absolutely love it. But when im older I would love to do a complete make over/check up on it like these perfect cars get going through your program. Im only 16 its my first car and I totally intend on owning, learning, building and driving 80s bmws
Yo tengo éste 318is 1991.
God only knows what they want for it. Cool car, but certainly not earth shattering. The M42 was a "gutless wonder". Really had no torque, but the benefit was the lightest E30 since the 2002. Best thing you can do with that car is do an M50 swap. I don't think it will ever have much collector appeal and why not have something that performs. I'd rather have an M20 car any day of the week.
They're also not the most robust engines. It's actually difficult to find parts to rebuild them since they kind of fall apart.
@@verdict1163 Not true. Do your research.
It's not all about power.
Congratulations. You may have made the most uneducated comment I have ever read on UA-cam.
@@verdict1163 wtf are you talking about
7 more cars maybe but the 318is is the nicest. Looks like it’s running 15’s - are those 205/55 or 225/50?
205/55.
Didn’t the 318 is have m technic color pin stripes on the sides? A buddy of mine had one like that with them.
Not from factory...
I had a Crimson Red 1991 318is. Unfortunately, it got totaled by drunk driver.
Damn. That sucks bro, fuck drunk drivers.
30k for an 18is?! Jokes 😅 I've got a 20i and a 25i, am I rich and don't know it?! 😂😂😂
Yes their cars are overpriced but they do also buy the cars back from the same owner and probably pay good money to get them back
E30 brake light not working (Quick fix) ua-cam.com/video/uvTZW6Tt3cI/v-deo.html
great car, but overpriced....but then again, if people pay it, so be it
over $30k on that old 318, who pays that much for that 🤷♂️
edwin morgado why not
Seems like you haven't driven an e30...They are shooting up in value
It's a 318is, not just any 318. It's more special than a 325i.
