I think Pérez is lucky to receive a 6. I actually felt a little bit embarrassed for him in the race. You cannot be losing 0.2s per lap to your teammate who’s on 20 lap older hards
Also shudnt lose track time to ur teammate with just a few lap old medium tyres vs hards. Tyre deg didnt hamper him the first 7-8 laps but he was still losing time!!!
I watch a lot of F1 content on UA-cam, and I hope you know that what you provide here is my favorite among all of it. I hope you keep doing these videos for a long time mate!
I think Russell and both Alpines deserve a higher rating. Because, what more could you ask of them? What realistic pass would've made their weekend? Gasly beating one of the 7 in front of him? Russell getting on the podium without any DNFs? Those would require basically perfect drives from both. For Ocon, a lower rating than Gasly is fair, but considering one was always gonna be ahead if only your teammate and 7 of the 8 significantly faster cars finish ahead of you, a 6 seems a little harsh. Basically the best Alpine could hope for in a weekend without DNFs.
I don‘t really know how realistic that would be, but I think I‘d enjoy a „move of the race“ or something like that. Could be an overtake or a specific decision
@@garystevens3184 You can also vote for driver of the day and On Track is still giving ratings. One person's opinion and consensus can differ and with decisions included you could say like someone making up a bunch of places by switching to intermediates at the exact right time or something could be move of the race, while it couldn't be the best overtake.
@@On_Track_91 Ah apologies! Smoothing out the transitions would enhance the video IMO, I'm sure you'll get it soon. Are you headed to any GPs this year?
I just can’t agree with the format of these videos 🤣 Russell qualifying miles ahead of his teammate and finishing ahead of him in the race, but then receiving a lower rating
When you get that upset over 1/2 a point lol. Also that basis only takes position into account, by that logic Max needs pointa docking for a terrible (by his standards) qualifying
@@naufalpahlevi8976 I see your point. But with your logic, it's still unfair because Max had a similar weekend to Lewis. Both qualified poorly but both drove well in the race. Lewis gained 7 positions, Max gained 8. Both finished where they should be finishing based on their cars' capabilities. Despite this, Max got a 10 and Lewis got a 7. By your logic, Max also deserves a 7 because he qualified 9th which is bad for RedBull and he finished the race where he should be finishing because of his talent and he has the fastest car. I can ask you the same questions for Max: Does Ocon (qualified P8) have the same talent as Max who qualified P9? Is P9 the maximum pace that Max can achieve?
@@Michael.Koulibaly not sure that’s the same lol. One couldn’t even make it out of q2 and the other made a small mistake in his first run, should have had plenty of time for a second and got fucked over by Leclercs crash. Meanwhile Max’s q2 time was good enough for pole…….
@@nawtty8864 I get you, but you have to consider the car's relative performance. George got passed Q2 in P10, only 0.052 ahead of Albon in P11, so getting knocked out in Q2 was a possibility for both drivers and NOT a huge surprise for Merc based on the car's one-lap performance that weekend so you can't hold that too harshly against Lewis. He wasn't knocked out on pure pace, he made a mistake which cost him track position on his final Q2 run - which he had to start on cold tyres. As for Max, yes it was a red flag. But the bottom line is that Max could have gotten P1 if not for his mistake on his first Q3 lap. Both made mistakes
@@naufalpahlevi8976 Lewis couldn't finish ahead because George drove very well too and Lewis was caught in a DRS train which slowed him a bit. Max also drove brilliantly. Don't forget that Max qualified in P9 because he also made a mistake on his first Q3 lap before the red flag, while the other drivers didn't (apart from Leclerc) 😂
@@naufalpahlevi8976 But that's why I'm saying its harsh on Lewis a little bit because your logic means that Max only deserves an 8 at best. I personally think he drove incredibly well though

Love this series ❤
Thank you
I believe Max got the fastest lap, and not Gasly as the graphics suggested?
I was wondering the same.
Yep he did, hence why he is 14 points ahead of Checo not 13
Yeah i messed up the graphic 😅 consequences of making it at 3am

Mercedes and Ferrari are to blame they just are not cleaver enough to keep up with Red Bull.😢
I would say clever, but that's me.

Norris had diffuser damage. 0.2 to 0.3 seconds a lap lost was what McLaren said.
Yeah I hadn't seen anything but could deffo imagine something like that
Max had fastest lap. take some coffee and start again

5.5 for bottas seems low for slowest car on the grid
edit: Kmag seems low too
Yeah maybe, I deffo find the slower the car, the harder it is to judge a grade
Interesting, the 'P1 with Matt and Tommy' UA-cam channel gave Russell a 9 and Hamilton a 7. I think they generally tend to be very harsh with Lewis.
